Wait wait wait, Jason Momoa was in Stargate Atlantis?

Ended on pretty much a cliffhanger too. If they're going to continue the universe like they say they're planning they need to address this.
I was at Denver Comic Con a few years back when he was big. I was talking to the guy who played Hodor (Kristian Nairn or something like that) in Game of Thrones because literally almost no one was at his table, when Mamoa came out to his table and like 3,000 women started screaming in unison.
Kristian was like, why doesn't that happen when I come out? And everyone at his table started laughing.
I was a big Atlantis fan, even moreso than SG-1. Momoa was great and Joe Flanigan was my dream casting for Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie.
Ah man. That's the worst thing about watching SG1 and Atlantis. Everyone is so much older now.
Except Jewel Staite.
Don't forget the film Stargate Continuum, I think it goes after SGA.
Continuum takes place just after the season 5 premiere of SGA.
She looks quite different in that pic though. She looks great but if she was walking down the street I don't think I'd recognise her.
EDIT: Ok this is a sensitive topic apparently. She lost weight and does look very different and is tired of fans asking her about it.
i love him as aquaman. aquaman was a fun dumb superhero movie that didnt take itself so painfully serious. I mean they had fucking sharks with lasers.

Yeah dude started out as a nerd. I saw him at an Austin comicon, he was recently super famous and there was a whole team of people smacking down people's cameras and phones and you could see him see that happening and tell he was thinking this is surreal. Especially considering flanigan was nearby as one of the lesser celebrities with no anti camera crew along with napoleon dynamite and a few others.

It's always fun doing rewatches after you've watched other things and noticing crossover. Like the BSG actors that did one offs.

I'm glad Stargate is god damn amazing and everyone needs to watch it.
I remember hearing he got the lead in that, thinking, "I wonder if Ronan Dex can carry a movie on his own". He's come a long way.

Yeah I've been to plenty of conventions and seen plenty of actors, but I don't think any of them have had the steep upwards career trajectory that Jason Momoa has had. Most of the time you see people whose career has already kinda peaked, or is on a downward slump. Almost never do you encounter someone that later became a superstar. Kind of funny to think that 10 years ago I could have paid $20 to get a picture with the guy, and now that opportunity is pretty much priceless and unavailable.

He was perfect cast for the character, light years better than Arnold. Sadly the same can't be said of the movie itself.

at least it was a few months back when I worked through all of stargate
the problem w/ release order is SG1 and Atlantis seasons overlap so it isn't as simple as SG-1 > Atlantis
He got rid of the dreds after season 4 of Atlantis and used a wig for season 5.

last christmas my kids watched 2018 the grinch on netflix like december 1st, we went to watch it as a family a few days before christmas and it was gone from netflix. total wtf moment. ended up buying the 4k disc
It been off the air for 10 years, and GoT was way more popular.
i was a poor college student when atlantis came out not even sure i had cable/satellite when it first aired.
