What are some characters or villains you love in media because of how over the top they are? First one to me is from Persona 5

Goro in royal is such a treat. He's an over the top cackling cartoon villain and he's fun and entertaining as hell. His lines are a delight as he laughs manically while swearing and being a total asshole. Robbie Daymond is having the time of his life I'm sure

Sheev aka Frank aka The Senate in Star Wars Ep 3

Ian McDiarmid chewing the scenery and giving no fucks is one of the few highlights of the prequel trilogy.

Seeing an evil character wanting to destroy the world is a thing, but seeing Kefka actually doing it and then being all happy about it was something else. Dude was crazy and fascinating.

Haven't played that far into the franchise, but I meant the actual murderers, more than prosecutors (granted, there's an alarming amount of overlap :D). E.g. in the first game alone, Damon Gant and Manfred von Karma are very entertaining villains in their comic book villain over-the-topness.

Zero Jr in VLR. The character and stellar VA completely sold the gleeful psycho personality. The voice work for Zero is one of my favorite performances in any game. It was like digital Hans Landa in a game. ...as a talking bunny. Yeah.

Monokuma in Danganronpa does a similar job, but I didn't play that in English so I don't know how the VA for it went.

I still can't believe Platinum made me go from "who the fuck is this guy again?" to "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING AND NOW I GOTTA KICK YOUR FUCKING ASS" within like 15 minutes.

Chief Inspector Dreyfus from the pink panther movies. Seeing him go more insane throughout the series is a hoot.

Terry Silver in Karate Kid 3. He's also the best (only good, according to some) part of that movie in general.

Guy is a cackling, Captain Planet villain that runs a multi-billion dollar toxic waste disposal company, and puts it all aside to get petty revenge on some high school kid. All of his lines go up to 500%, he literally talks about inflicting pain and suffering to Daniel for like two minutes straight. Even his nice guy trickster persona dials it way in the other direction to the point where it just becomes absolute cheese. The over the top deception and scheming he goes through just for that end is ridiculously corny, but it's like you can't stop watching. Thomas Ian Griffith owns the screen every time he is on it.
