I've wanted to take stock of my VGM vinyl collection for awhile now, so I'm posting it here. Maybe it'll start generating some discussion again too!
Video game music vinyls have become the thing I collect now, just because I love video game music so much and want to own as much of it as possible on physical media that I actually use and, at least from the perspective of someone my age (34), is novel. I think I've managed to build a pretty decent collection so far:
Banjo-Kazooie
Best of Mega Man 1-10 (though it really isn't)
Diggin' in the Carts: A Collection of Pioneering Japanese Video Game Music
Castlevania
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Katamari Damacy
Mother 2
Ninja Gaiden: The Definitive Soundtrack Vols. 1 and 2
Okami
OutRun
Rez Infinite
Shadow of the Colossus
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
Shovel Knight
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment
Sonic Forces: The Vinyl Cutz
Sonic Mania
Street Fighter II: The Definitive Soundtrack
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Super Castlevania IV
Super Hang-On
Taito Sound Team "Zuntata" Arcade Classics Vol. 3
The Messenger
Undertale
I'm pretty lucky to have relatively easy access to this stuff. I live in Los Angeles about 15 minutes away from the giant Amoeba Records in Hollywood, and they get new VGM vinyls in surprisingly often. I usually check back every two weeks or so and find some gems worth picking up more often than not.
Meanwhile, I have Sonic CD and Turtles in Time pre-ordered!
