The site launched on 25th October 2017 (It's the 25th October in the UK now, though it may still be the 24th in some parts of the world)

This means we're now 3 years old. Happy birthday to us!

Funnily enough I also made the 1st and 2nd birthday threads. It's a date I remember as it falls extremely close to my birthday, and I remember the drama of 2017 very clearly as I wondered where I'd talk about video games in the future

It was a crazy time, as the old place was down and it looked like there was no way it could be salvaged. Then this place was pulled from nothing over the space of a few days thanks to some amazing work behind the scenes

To compare with year 1 and 2:

I still think of all the places to discuss video games online, this is the best one. There have been issues, and there have been ups and downs, but all things said, I'm glad Era exists and I'm glad you're all here with me

Happy birthday! Love this forum, joined when I was in hospital and it's been a friend ever since. I have a lot of health problems and it helps to be part of the community here.

this place can be a real mixed bag, but I am still reminded that this is a pretty decent place to talk about video games. let's keep trying to improve and still try to foster good conversation where we can.

Yeah it was chaos. I managed to get in on the 2nd day I think. I remember feeling so relieved when I logged on and saw all the old thread titles and old posters

I lurked the other place and then here before finally joining last year! So while it seems I'm new I've actually been there for a long time, in the shadows, watching. It's a great forum even if there's issues sometimes, no place is perfect but at least this place is mostly free of the awful stuff elsewhere. HBD!
