So I was reveling in the salt ensuing from this Jamie Marchi con announcement, and digging into that rabbit hole unveiled some criticism about her making "anti-faith statements." Research on my end unveiled that's hailing from, uh, this:

How much I hate that douche, while browsing thought the RWBY tag on twitter the other day I had to see his stupid tweet about how he knows that the people at Rooster Teeth are supporting all his fear mongering videos all because the collar of one of the characters has metal accessories that somehow he believes are two H's which in his mind mean "Hero Hie" which is so dumb, and the worst part is that if someone called him out he would play the victim and say about how it's a joke and nothing serious while if anybody else did something like that he would waste no time doing a video with the title "Delusional fan believes character if based of them" and mocking them for thinking that
one has to wonder whether he chose his online name intentionally so that when abbreviated is HH (same as "Heil Hitler" or 88)
Not many, but there are a few defending him in the comments. "Why are you picking on him for expressing an opinion?!" they whine while......not realizing that he picked on Marchi first? Hard to say since he still voiced 17 and Pilaf in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. At the same time, who knows how long ago that was done and there could have been contracts already in place. We won't know for sure until Kakarot gets DLC that covers Ranger 17.
That makes sense. Gotta say, it's disappointing how he acted... but he's just so tied to 17 now that it'd be weird if it wasn't him.
Since his affidavit was withdrawn, and has more or less shut the eff up about the whole situation (as far as I know, I don't follow him so correct me if wrong), then I'd see life continuing as normal for him. Maybe he'd be gradually phased out, but maybe not. Hard to tell.
That's the thing when you don't go and actively sue your former employer or others who say bad things about you. You actually have a chance to continue getting work.
At least it's good to know that volunteers and staff have been pushing back as well.
It feels like Vig is slowly figuring out how screwed he really is. That the reality outside the bubble of his fans and "legal advice" is much different than what he perceives it to be.

I'd like to say Vig threatening his way into getting reignited back to Kamehacon last year was the final nail. Unless you're a backwater con with no big guests it's just no longer worth the headache of dealing with the Vig nightmare.
I remember a lot of people really railed on that World Expo event when it popped up several months ago. They pulled things almost verbatim from Anifest's web site, including the $500 lifetime "Senpai Pass", which is pretty fucking bold for a first year event with literally only two guests listed, not even a full year of planning before launching, and absolutely no events listed.

These guys donated over 250'000$ to a drunk, racist pseudolawyer so their idol could burn at least 250'000$ when trying to sue his victims. Probably even ending up with 1'000'000$ costs when the whole appeals are over (having had to pay the new lawyers without a GFM left and the payments for his victims probably raised because that's the only point where Chupp made a really bad decision).

Personally. I assume this "Con" is a huge scam and after they got the money, you never hear of them again. And i don't even feel bad anymore for people who get scammed. That stopped about 7 months ago.

Also the main difference between the series' you mentioned and IR is that formers have a more invested plot compared to the latter. There are steaks in those series (along the with the occasional ecchi scenes), where as IR is just some randy characters who review the various monster and non-monster girls they've slept with at brothels. And while I haven't read the manga it's based on, I've heard from others that it's actually quite tame compared to the anime, where they just talk about their experiences from the previous night as opposed to actually showing the acts in progress.
