Price is fucking ludicrous. Sticking with my Rift, Quest and PSVR.
Yes, I am well aware that the combined price of those HMDs exceed the cost of this. Thankfully, I didn't buy these all simultaneously.

Launching this without some games made by Valve would be insane right? Come on Valve, show us some software.

Insane prices if you ask me. I was really looking forward to the reveal, but with those prices I don't give a shit anymore.

UK prices are..

£989.00 with Base Stations
£689.00 without

Oof! Too expensive for me to upgrade (seeing as I don't have any base stations - I'm an Oculus PCVR user) but kinda glad they're targeting high spec. Excited to see what it can do.

Its been known that valve rather goes higher end experience than a low cost one.

i would've paid that much in 2016-17.

In 2019 I'm a cynic, so I'll pass.

No way I could justify getting this when I already have a Vive and Rift, even with the improved FOV. I might buy the controllers though.

seems like an awful price, is there ANYTHING that sets this headset apart from what is already out there?

I appreciate that I can use my existing vive controllers and base stations. Genuinely expected to have to buy a whole new thing. That said, will need to see impressions first. Doesn't look insanely better than the Vive right off the bat.

That price. D;

Guess I'll be sticking with my Rift for a few more generations.

The headset does look comfy though.

It has to be a far superior experience compared to the rift S at that price.

Rift S is a little lower res, but has everything you need, included in the box for $399

Definitely for those who aren't fucking around when it comes to VR. I'll stick with my pedestrian PSVR for now, but will be pining from afar.

Wow. Suddenly I'm glad I grabbed a Vive after all. $1,000 for the set is...something. And it's not even wireless?

Holy shit, I was not expecting that price.

Having leapt into VR with the Rift late last year for $400CDN, the prospect of shelling out what will probably be more than $1400CDN for the full set of this thing...

I can wait.

Seems somewhat pointless at that price with no foveated rendering when PSVR 2.0 is supposed to have it and likely to retail for much less.

The tech is absolutely the best in the VR market to date and it likely won't be eclipsed for a few years but that price is unbelievable, that's almost priced like a commercial product rather than a consumer one.
