Lol, claiming something was illegal (without evidence) and then threatening a company for retribution for duly doing its legal duty is itself a crime, fucking idiot.
"Raising a finger" is politically toxic and would swiftly lead to a 2010/2018 style midterm for whichever party was dumb enough to think even 40% of Americans would be okay with a foreign deployment into a hostile area.
The World Police era is over now that Biden has Dems out of it and all the Bush neocons (who only ever cared about foreign policy) have been kicked out of the party.

And yes, I'm aware the 2018 House elections and 2020 Presidential and Senate elections happened, but the GOP is aware too, and they're taking as many measures as they can to try and make sure they don't happen again. Question is, who's going to win out: the people trying to organize and encourage voting within a system on the verge of collapse, or the people trying to destroy that same system with a head start on doing so?
