Trump now explicitly warning that fair housing regulations designed to combat housing segregation will "obliterate" the suburbs: "Your home will go down in value and crime rates will rapidly rise," Trump said today.
The DNC convention is still a month away, it's insane how long the primary process takes.
Sean Hannity says Joe Biden has "the most radical, extreme socialist agenda I've ever seen in any election"
LOL
I think they really expected to be running against Bernie and just kept the same script.

Well the thing is, Hannity is right in terms of national elections during his life time. Doesn't mean that his message is going to hit home and scare people off him towards Trump.Sean Hannity says Joe Biden has "the most radical, extreme socialist agenda I've ever seen in any election"

Every democrat is the most radical extreme socialist they've ever seen. They do this every election against anyone who runs. Holy crap, be well dude.Pretty sure I got COVID again. Waiting on my test results from two different locations since Monday. My symptoms are basically on the same timeframe as last time but not as severe right now.
You've had it already?!! Damn, I'm sorry you got it again (if that's the case), hoping for a speedy recovery.Pretty sure I got COVID again. Waiting on my test results from two different locations since Monday. My symptoms are basically on the same timeframe as last time but not as severe right now.
Shrodinger's candidate:The right will try to convince voters Biden has the most radical platform ever and will be controlled by the radical left
The radical left will forever believe Biden is a dirty centrist
Best of both worlds right here

I love representing our community in Congress. I always will. This is my choice, but I'm still going to miss it.
Thank you for your trust.
This was going to be the playbook against anyone who got the Dem nomination, but it would have stuck to Bernie (unlike Biden)Sean Hannity says Joe Biden has "the most radical, extreme socialist agenda I've ever seen in any election"

It's effectively a one-party state, so you get the opposite of what you see with Kansas Republicans.
People talk about the RINOs for hard red states thing every time the topic comes up, but the problem is that the bigots are really good at telling who's really one of their own, and they run the Republican primaries outside of a couple edge cases.Or Hawaii, with bigots like Tulsi in Congress. The problem with a one-party state is that you just shift the real race to the primary, and since there's nothing really stopping somebody from registering in a party, you can have people who would otherwise be Republicans in other states just run as Dems.
Dems should try to do more of that in hardcore red states honestly. Elect RINOs in Nebraska and shit. You gotta have some red lines, but winning even one office can be a big deal. JBE winning in Louisiana has brought more people healthcare in that state than anybody else could've pulled off.

I mean, if we could do it, that'd be great. I'd love to shift the overton window like that. It's just that with Republican nominating Qanon folks now, I'm skeptical how viable it is - their base seems actively allergic to that kind of person at this point. It's not a silver bullet, but occasionally the GOP puts up a turd, and sometimes I think we could win if we send JBE types into those primaries to sneak the nomination (and basically guarantee the general). Every time the GOP runs their state's version of Roy Moore (so, lower than expected approvals, past history of weakness, etc...), we should have somebody lined up to try to win the primary (and of course the general).
I think one big weakness of the party this past decade is we stopped interacting tactically with the GOP. They're gonna win sometimes, that's just how it goes. And they do a better job of capitalizing on it when we have poor candidates (EG Martin O'Malley fucking up so badly that Maryland of all places was primed for a GOP governor; that doesn't happen if they run a Corey Stewart clone instead of Hogan). We've been doing much better though since 2016; lots of little moves to get the GOP to list back to the center whenever possible. It won't make them attractive, but I'd feel a lot better if I could wave a wand and make as many Republicans as possible turn into Larry Hogan types. I still won't vote for them, but it's an improvement either way.
It's clearly the Yang Gang.
