For all the gaffes Biden has had, it's genuinely hard to top this level of blatant contempt for its citizens. Glad dems are basically all taking to the air waves as one large voice. It's hard to feel like you're being hyperbolic about the continued degradation of the state of politics right now. Had my gf get home from work and ask if we had military coming and it's like no... not yet hopefully? Feels like I'm off my rocker here at how fast things are going.

Trump asking for people to hop head first into an Olympic size pool of political suicide and he gets no takers. Shocking.

the people that will lead us out of this crisis will be governors.

First step is withdrawl of the national guard and having them on stanby ( stanby for defense against trump tactics ).

also arresting the officers the did the murdering.

and then demilitarizing our police forces.

Jeb Bush w/ the retweet:

I think most religious moderates moved on from Trump already, and those that have are going to be absolutely incensed by this stunt.

The most impressive thing about Trump's inaction isn't that he didn't bumble his way through it trying to strongman every first response, rather that he has consistently pulled back and disappeared. Leaving the hard work to the governors themselves, excoriating them the entire way for doing the job with 0 guidance from the administration or at worst, actively refusing assistance to spite certain states.

Also when you lose the white supremacists you might be in trouble.

Tucker's probably mad because Trump had to be the ratings king and blew out whatever outrage porn he was going to run with an unprecedented and brazen misuse of federal police power on live TV.

Tucker would love if it was all about the looters. Trump derailed it.

Tucker has bouts where he's not completely insane (IIRC he was the one, unbelievably, who convinced Trump that the coronavirus was real). Not sure what the pattern is.

Considering how Trump has basically been absent from leadership, would want Biden basically making as many big banner speeches as possible right now. I'm of the idea that you can't let Trump just punch himself in the face ala 2016 forever and hope for the best. This is basically Biden's time to shine with media out there looking for leadership wherever they can find it. The images alone from Biden's visit to that church prove as much, doesn't take a lot to overshadow Trump's weird photo op but Jesus it's like the end times right now.

Agreed, but part of the problem is the media so far hasn't been covering when he does speak. TV better broadcast this tomorrow.

basically I see this as Biden starting the Presidency Early. Since, true fact, we dont have a president atm.

No doubt, part of the problem especially with the COVID situation is there are rare few instances where anyone will give a campaign the time of day vs an announcement from the president, but this sure feels like it would be one if there ever was.

The main pillar seems to be White Nationalism - which is why I'm shocked he's not playing into the "finally he's restoring Law and Order" messaging like Nikki Hayley was pushing.

though, thinking about it, I suspect this one of those broadcasts where he's explicitly talking directly to Trump and saying "you're fucking blowing this, you need to stop!"

edit - whelp, looks like Tucker's take was that Trump needs to come down even HARDER on protestors. So Tucker continues to be who we know he is.

After the events in Lancaster, PA, the choice is clear for the police. Either join the peaceful protests or be complicit in fascists starting shit and looting your town. That is essentially the message that Democrats have to get across right now.

In retrospect, the Trump Adminstration gutting the FBI's surveillance of right wing extremism movements makes perfect sense right now. They have been preparing for this.

shocking

A Twitter account claiming to belong to a national "antifa" organization and pushing violent rhetoric related to ongoing protests has been linked to the white nationalist group Identity Evropa, according to a Twitter spokesperson.

The spokesperson said the account violated the company's platform manipulation and spam policy, specifically the creation of fake accounts. Twitter suspended the account after a tweet that incited violence.

As protests were taking place in multiple states across the U.S. Sunday night, the newly created account, @ANTIFA_US, tweeted, "Tonight's the night, Comrades," with a brown raised fist emoji and "Tonight we say 'F--- The City' and we move into the residential areas... the white hoods.... and we take what's ours …"

This isn't the first time Twitter has taken action against fake accounts engaged in hateful conduct linked to Identity Evropa, according to the spokesperson.

It wasn't 7 yet. Also this is basically asking 'why did you make me violently hurt you?'

Lil' Marco was always going to be the bootlicker he turned out to be. He's just there for the access to power.

I don't have the energy to deal with Rubio's smarmy interns on the phone tomorrow. I think I'll just make another donation and rearrange the family's Go Bags
