This is, hand to god, something my pastor would literally say. Her sermon the day after Trump won, which boiled down to "If you voted for that asshole, get the fuck out" was legendary. She once, after a few beers at a party we had, said she was going to bitch slap someone for Jesus. I want to be her when I grow up.

She sounds alright. I dated a fundie lady for a hot minute and I swear to Dog her (whatever they call themselves) tried to explain that Jesus wasn't a pacifist, the Sermon on the Mount was all allegory and superceded by some random line in Revelations, I think, about Jesus telling his followers to sell their cloak and buy a sword.

I think Gaetz is just a lazy fucker and wants a 14 day vacation. What better way of dodging your constituents than being in self-quarantined? It is a way more effective form of running to the elevator all politicians like to do when confronted with challenging questions.

I mean if he legitimately was exposed to people, then yeah quarantine yourself. But just everything about this asshole screams lazy entitled little shit and he may have found a way to get some time off that annoying work he has to do.

I know that it straddles the lines of conspiracy and bad taste to speculate on Trump getting COVID-19, but I just have to say this: POTUS getting COVID-19, as genuinely funny as it would be, better not end with him dying of pneumonia before the election because I want him alive to catch this asswhooping in November.

Then he can die because no one gives a fuck about his worthless ass. But not until then.

ZzzzzzZzzzZzz...
Perhaps Trump will finally realize how serious this is after he sits and thinks about the people in self-quarantine he interacted with, and all the people who could have gone back multiple contacts from there. Imagine how many people Trump's been around that were at CPAC, and how many people those people dealt with before anyone started taking precautions. It'd basically be his entire personal staff and half of congress.

Nooooooooo. I need the needle!

So, no needle for 2 Tuesday 2 Furious, but it's back for Super Tuesday: Tokyo Drift, got it. Or with any luck it'll be over after tomorrow(lololol).

It's sad that the two front runners for the Dem ticket are old enough that the VP matters. "We have failed this city"

Honestly I don't want Trump to get sick or worse. I want to beat him. I want him rejected and to feel it and everyone to see it.

Bernie surrogate on MSNBC just now essentially said they'll stay in until the bitter end and scrape out as many delegates as possible. Also said he's very much looking forward to the debate.

So yeah, Bernie is going to go kicking and screaming and trying to dirty up Biden as much as possible.

I mean that's what everyone else said until they stopped saying it when they quit.

Honestly, if Bernie wants to stay in and muck it all up, that's on him. The DNC should show him what rigging looks like and refuse to play his dumbass games. No more debates. No more party sanctioned shit. Let him scream and wag his finger all he wants.

I've seen the end credits of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and I nervously laugh at anyone who says this will be contained.

I think he gets one more debate. Barring a radical shift in results, that final debate is simply a show of good faith from the party to blunt any criticism that they're silencing him. Two 1 on 1 debates is plenty for him if he's losing big.

Is there any reason not to expect Biden's numbers to come crashing down again as we get closer to the general election and the electorate starts paying closer attention?

Remember he started this primary in a dominating position, but as soon as primary voters got a good look at him they began to flee to any other candidate they could, and it was only when all the other candidates dropped out at once that voters ended up knee jerking back to him. He's lost every time he's run for president before, he's never been good at it, and seeing him in some of the recent debates and on the stump, he's only gotten worse. I worry the same thing that happened to him in the primary is going to happen to him in the general election - he'll start strong, but the general electorate voters will begin to run away from him as soon as they start tuning in and find he's not as rose-colored as they've been picturing.

What Bernie should do and what Bernie will do are typically light years apart. All tea. All shade.

Bernie, so far, netted 298k votes over Biden in California.
Biden netted 399k votes over Bernie in Virginia.

I was big on Barry getting in and backing Joe to make it clear to Sanders that his campaign is over. But I also eagerly embrace the idea of discrediting socialist voices in the party for a generation by letting Bernie grift money from supporters and burning everything and everyone around him into the ground.

No, three states with electorates Biden doesn't do well in had their primary. Bernie became the front runner because of early success. Then SC happened. This "fleeing" narrative is not accurate.

I mean, for the most part, every democrat's GE numbers are as rosy as they are going to be. The same case you're making for Biden can be made for Bernie. Once the GOP would begin their red scare stuff, his numbers would come crashing down, and according to polling today, Bernie is currently as unpopular at this point in the cycle as HIllary was. And, lord knows, you rarely get more popular as the thing goes on.

So, will GE polls tighten? Sure. Will they tighten enough? Dunno.
