I don't think people expected Klobuchar to drop out because at first glance it didn't seem to help Biden (she would take away from Bernie in MN). This is only helpful to Biden if Warren is for sure staying in to juice her to viability in more states and cut Bernie's delegate lead on Super Tuesday. Hard not to view it as co-ordinated

They're dropping like flies at this point, early votes going in and all the news coverage is corona 24/7, wonder if it's too late.

At the very least Warren is (and has been) keeping Bloomberg at bay. I don't think she's denying Sanders all that much.

With only 3 other candidates left, probably 50% or more of her voters would switch over to Bernie. Probably more with her endorsement. And she polls at ~15% nationally rn. That's a huge chunk of voters.

Like I said, he's going to sleepwalk his way to the nomination with virtually no funding, organization or enthusiasm. It bodes well for the general.
That's certainly the CW, but I wonder how much effort and demographics factored into the SC win that might not replicate elsewhere.

Plus, we have Bloomberg and his money and lack of being on the ballot so far as an X factor.

Biden getting the nomination will be an absolute disaster. Can't wait for the blame shifting if/when he loses in November.
I think with him and Bernie the key is going to be their VP pick. I think Biden from four years ago wouldn't need to reassure anyone about his age, but he sure as shit does now. Bernie has the same concerns, although he sure campaigns like he's Pete's age. I think both of our top choices are weaker than I'd like, but I could get excited for either one depending on who they pick. I think Kamala Harris, Warren or Duckworth are the ones to do it.

I have to respect Biden for finally playing the game of thrones to win this thing.

I struggle to believe even the most anti-Sanders people in this thread look at Biden and hope for anything more than him literally not shitting himself on stage through November and then hopefully winning the 2018 cohort by default. That seems to be the full plan. Buckle up.

It's Biden vs Bernie. Hold your nose and pick a side!
A corrupt boring candidate who wants to keep middling dull Obama Era politics including bending over for wall street, a man who is so stuck in the past he thinks he can work with republicans and who's only hope of energizing the base is "we need to beat Trump" vs the Democratic Socialist. Good times.

This isn't even nearly the biggest problem. What's super scary is that the Democratic establishment is working incredibly hard to nominate someone who hasn't earned it, who can't campaign to save his life, who can't raise funds from small donors and who can't excite anyone outside the media/elite bubble. This is a recipe for disaster.

If this party really does nominate Biden, I'm going to be so dejected and so nervous for November. God I hate this.

Faiz @fshakir

Anyone who thinks Biden would be a better candidate than Bernie against Trump hasn't been watching the 10 Democratic debates.

Biden doesn't have the record, vision, excitement, coalition that Bernie does.

We need to do more than just defeat Trump. We need progressive change.

I feel Sanders still wins comfortably in ST but after ST Bloomberg is going to drop and support Biden which will shift the scales.

ABT, that's my #1 goal by far. It protects the SC too, and ffs that clown needs to be gone from the Office. I used to dismiss Biden but I remember a poll posted here a month or two back asking questions then showing which candidates were the best match for the answers, and iirc Biden was at or near the top for me. But again it's really just ABT for me. I have greater confidence in Biden beating Trump than Sanders, and greater confidence that we won't see a 2022 bloodbath after it.

Jesus talk about the perfect shit storm heading into Super Tuesday. A rebound from Biden and the collapse and endorsements of Pete and Amy is going to be a hell of a tailwind for him against Bernie.

Bloomberg is literally the only chance of blowing Biden to his knees.

There will be no excuses anymore and the damage it'll do to the party may be as bad as a brokered convention imo. They might lose a good chunk of two generations to permanent apathy. Good luck ever making AZ, NC and TX blue states then. Shit, we might even lose a few D trifectas we've got going on.

Oh for sure. I don't see anyone getting fired up to knock doors and make calls for Biden. Couple that with sustained attacks from the right about Hunter, and the strong possibility that he'll face some sexual harassment allegations between now and November, and he scares me.

I've got concerns about Bernie taking entire states out of play for us, but at the very least he'll have enthusiasm.

It really sucks that we seemingly have to choose between Nazi Conservatism and Lite Conservatism moving forward.

God damn, I just want healthcare like every other country in the world.

That heaven pic will never not make me laugh.

Does Florida Man have more rallies planned? With him being a big germaphobe and the administration pretty much doing nothing to handle the virus, I'm kind of surprised he's still doing these rallies. He's not afraid he'll catch the virus? I mean, he's well withing the demographic where the virus is lethal.

Narcissism > Basic safety

Always.

I can't be the only one who bristles at the term "Conservative Dems."

There are no conservative dems. The closest would be Bloomberg, as he's no conservative.

Sociopolitical terms are slurs if you have no scruples. Or solid arguments.
