The audience is definitely not with him, very obviously has Bloomberg plants in there. It's throwing him off his rhythm since he feeds off of the crowd very well.
That's a good point. Didn't really even think about that. Not sure if Bloomberg has plants or if it's just a very rich audience. Especially given the cost of the tickets.

It's so goddamn annoying. I fucking hate the idea term limits fix anything. Look at the states that implemented it! It did not work in California! It doesn't work! It cedes power to lobbyists as the new experts of how to pass law.
Yeah term limits are shit and I hate that a ton of liberals seem to want them.

How are we on debate #20 about Bernie's gun votes when Iran and Russia just slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people in Syria, what the fuck?

How to actually deal with India and Iran is something the president will do. The president will not control gun control policy.
How are we on debate #20 about Bernie's gun votes and his answers are still shit?

Nope. Which means this is the last debate for amy/pete/steyer/bloomberg/warren if they don't do well, but only Pete is acting like it.

You know what? I take that back. Steyer came ready to play. if not for the fact that no one knows who the hell he is, he'd be killing it.

Warren is doing fine, but Pete's kinda out there shanking Bernie on key issues so that's going to suck up oxygen as its front runner and second/third place fighting it out.

The crowd don't make Bernie's answers any better. Because they've been shit.
60% of debate performance is flow and confidence. If you aren't on your rhythm then even if you make good answers they don't really land as well.

That said Bernie's answers haven't been great in the first 40 or so minutes and it doesn't help when 6 other people are out to shank you.

"as we know, our election is interactive, and so we pivot to the internet- here senator klobuchar we have a question from twitter, and for mayor Buttigieg, we have a question from pornhub"

The president isn't going to pass M4A, either, but we've spent a tremendous number of time in the debates discussing it and harassing people for plans that could plausibly be passed by this administration.

How are we on debate #20 about Bernie's gun votes and his answers are still shit?

He's really stubborn and almost never admits when he's been wrong or when he made a mistake.

How is redlining NOT a problem with the mortgage market when you completely exclude one ethnic group from getting mortgages?

Oof. I've never been a big Bernie fan (voting for Warren), but thought his CNN Townhall last night was really great. Where is that Bernie tonight?

I'm writing this so I can come back to it later, but Warren saying she's done more for M4 All is absolutely laughable. Was a shit ass take, and immediately soured me on her. Shit was gross as fuck.

Mike's as pathetic as Trump.

I didn't think I would despise someone as much as him, but Mike did it.

Steyer really needs to stop it with the term limits
Agreed. Term limits just help lobbyists as if people can't be career Reps/Senators, they'll go into lobbying instead. And not only that, those lobbyists will be more influencial as no one will have the time to become experienced at navigating DC politics and so they'll be more and more dependent on lobbyists to do that for them, as they just won't have the time to get that experience themselves anymore and since they can't make a career out of it, there's less reason to bother regardless.

On top of that, I know term limits are nonetheless popular because it's one of those things that sound like common sense that really aren't and typically only cause more problems when they are enacted, but nonetheless when it does come up it's weird that more people don't point out how they're inherently undemocratic and inherently mean that you don't trust voters, at all. If you trust voters, there's no need for them. They're only necessary if you don't trust voters, and I'm surprised more people don't go that angle when it comes up.

I have no idea what Bloomberg was saying there. Was he joking? Was he being serious? What a bizarre line

I actually appreciate these different questions for once. Thank god.

Oof. I've never been a big Bernie fan (voting for Warren), but thought his CNN Townhall last night was really great. Where is that Bernie tonight?

He's having trouble lobbing off multiple attacks in a 45 sec response time. He needs to do better, and remain calmer.

Takes some giant brass balls to hit Sanders on how his plans can't pass congress and then endorse slavery reparations

I think he was trying to make a joke about how badly he did last week. It's something that Bush did in 2004 after he spent the whole first debate scowling. The issue is, Bloomberg has no personality so it doesn't work.
