Gone With the Wind is on right now on TCM, pretty appropriate after fuckstick clearly hasn't watched the movie

Also it's a coincidence since it's always been on the schedule.

Some people can really only be killed by losing their own state. Klobb is gonna need to get Rubio'd
she definitely might, but she'd still serve the purpose she's definitely going for. if she drops, Sanders would be likely to get another nevada kind of victory in the state. as is, he'll at best split delegates. get 1/3-2/3 what he's get otherwise. def looks like part of the contested convention game.

It says here:

www.nbcnews.com

Biden to grab second in Nevada, winning delegates, NBC News projects

The former VP picked up seven delegates, while Buttigieg, coming in third, took two delegates. The winner, Sanders, grabbed 18.

Am I misreading this? Because it seems like Pete is actually getting 0 delegates if NBC is right.
They are wrong, the 15% threshold applies to each category specifically, so since he's hit 15% in two(?) CDs he gets delegates from there.

Then again the media completely failed to understand GOP rules which made them underestimate Trump's chances, so I'm not surprised they still can't read The Green Papers.

In today's news cycle no one is going to remember this by tomorrow morning. While the comment is new, if this is the kind of oppo hit Sanders is going to get (focused on litearlly old stuff like his takes on decades-old Cuban conditions; or people trying to own him for saying not all of the USSR was bad); he's probably in a good spot.

First national poll fully since the debate..and Waren is in 2nd.

This is a good thing. She got a boost from going at Bloomberg. If she's smart she'll stay on that track and break Pete at next week's debate. Klob just isn't going to improve her numbers with POC, so she's pretty harmless for Warren imo. This is her way back into the low twenties and a third place showing in South Carolina.

Yes please

No more Iowa or caucuses.
there should be more than one state on the first primary day anyway.
why not like Iowa, Nevada, SC? Seems like a nice balance Midwest, southern, and West
I vote for doubling the number of early states to add more diverse states. Just keep the new ones close to the old ones for travel/expense/media market purposes. NH can be paired with Massachusetts, NV can be paired with AZ, IW can be paired with Wisconsin and South Carolina can be paired with NC. Just rotate the pairs every presidential primary and call it a day.
Nope, and he may be waiting for what goes down at the debate.
It would be good if he goes for Warren. It might keep Biden from hitting the #1 spot. We need her to stick and round and smash that Bloomberg Pinata some more.

Those Klob numbers are wild.
I also think it's hard to claim Sanders is naive or doesn't understand the barbarism of authoritarian regimes when his father fled Poland as a teenager while essentially his entire side of the family died in the Holocaust.

I think maybe people would understand his comments were more nuanced.
Unfortunately this is not a country of nuance and subtlety.
Warren & Elena 0 delegates.

Now that right there is a haul for Bernie. I knew he'd do well in the delegate count, but damn. Too bad the culinary union didn't just endorse. He probably would have run away with all the delegates.

I think Klob is hanging in and all the "moderates" are hanging in hoping someone else drops out and leaves an opening for them.

Pete has the most delegates.

Joe has a broader coalition.

Amy has more votes than Biden at this point.

Not after Nevada. If current numbers coming out are true Bernie will have almost twice the amount of delegates Pete has by monday. All Pete will see by Super Tuesday are Bernie's skidmarks just as he goes into turbo mode.

I don't understand how anyone could watch 60 minutes and think Sanders was praising authoritarianism unless you were already pissed off at Sanders.

That's how the Right Wing Machine Behind the Scene and the RIS (but I repeat myself at this stage read the Mueller report) does things. Point the finger AWAY. And if there's nothing, make something up (Ukrainian Shakedown vs Biden). That mobster is already mewling about it as is his Z-rate goon at DNI. That's how they hide their crimes, whip their grunting rubes into a froth, and drown out serious policy discussion/our mudslinging.

We've had 4 years of this. It is known. Fight or lose.

Thanks, surprising that NBC would get that wrong.

Ah yes Sanders vs the Mint-stablish*, this definitely won't get old until the convention ugh. But yea hopefully everyone gets on the same page with minimal screw ups on Bernie's behalf and the party's behalf. I look forward to the bowels of degeneracy the Republicans will plumb to twist Sanders' words. They never fail to seek out a new low.

*Mint-stablish is my fetch and I'm gonna make it happen!

More YouGov data, and it's pretty damn interesting with South Carolina's primary up next:

SOUTH CAROLINA Which candidates impressed you in the most recent debates? If multiple candidates impressed you, please check all that apply:
Sanders 43%
Warren 41%
Biden 35%
Buttigieg 32%
Klobuchar 25%
Bloomberg 13%

Dem. Primary Voters, 2/20-22

Who is this person? Why does she matter? Seems like she is a republican and a "never-Trumper" except she'll vote for him if the Dems don't pick some moderate or republican lite candidate?
Why are we paying attention to this person again?

sorry, I thought people knew who she was. She's one of the more prominent never trumpers but notable because Nunes is suing her. Yet she can still come up with this nonsense.

If we're doing daft Sanders-related Twitter takes, then this is way more relevant, considering her op-ed pieces are in the WaPo:

Jennifer Rubin
@JRubinBlogger

Sanders finds AIPAC a bigger affront than Castro. Good GOD, Dems. Wake up.

Like, I think a good portion of people generally would find AIPAC a bigger affront than Castro, if they weren't fed disingenuous arguments about AIPAC and/or criticism of Israel wasn't made the equivalent of antisemitism.

I believe she's supposed to be a never trumper, but this isn't exactly shocking news as the past years feels like a trickle of never trumpers coming to terms with not being able to vote for a democrat left of Biden.

Also congrats to Bernie having ascended to the level of scrutiny that Hillary endured for the past 30 years. Only 7 months til Election Day!

I think y'all should post what you want to, but I feel like this thread is gonna get mighty cluttered if we keep posting every conservative who tweets about not liking Bernie
(we should instead post cool pop tunes)

One good thing about Bernie being POTUS would be that he'd be shielded from having any legit criticism of Israel being shrugged off as antisemitism.

Actually, I'd be pretty proud of this country for electing a Jewish president in general. A Jewish democratic socialist, no less!

I've got some bad news for you....

I expect Bernie being a Jew to be treated with the same kind of respect as on the right as John Kerry being a war hero.

Or Pete being religious.
Yes, but that will bring out the Nazi in Trump and his followers more.

The suburbs will be hard to stomach that.

I should have been clearer; I don't expect the right to act rationally because they're disingenuous, or idiots, or both. HOWEVER, their dismissal of legitimate critique of the Israeli state as antisemitism won't be as effective in this case.
