Since this is still a general US politics thread and not just another Bernie parade thread:

Roger Stone stays losing.

Yeah, not feeling a Sanders win in SC then - Biden is going to carry it, but it won't have a big impact on Super Tuesday at all.

538's predictor even has Bernie losing SC in that 45% change of winning majority prediction.

bernie isn't even campaigning in SC, so he clearly isn't feeling a win there either. the "unstoppable" narrative forming in the media + Steyer cannabilizing Biden's AA support could push him over the edge though.

Why the hell does it matter if he waits to endorse after the debate if he is planning on endorsing him anyway? This is silly.
Because if he endorses on Monday and Biden implodes on Tuesday, he looks stupid.

If he actually wanted to endorse (as opposed to just feeling he needs to), I imagine it would have been done a long time ago.

The Trump White House and its allies, over the past 18 months, assembled detailed lists of disloyal government officials to oust — and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them — according to more than a dozen sources familiar with the effort. https://www.axios.com/trump-memos-deep-state-white-house-ce5be95f-2418-433d-b036-2bf41c9700c3.html …

I'm still a fan of picking a bundle of four states that seem representative as a whole and doing those primaries on the same day first.

Trump has a hit list.

Work with me here as I go a bit down the rabbit hole. So say you were a foreign asset charged with hurting the US as the president and your handlers told you that there was a good chance you could lose, and would need to do lasting damage and if you won, they would want you to prepare The ground work to go for a "third term" and take over. What would be the move if you had less than a year to go? This right? This is exactly what you would do. Even if he loses the government would be full of his people and the new President would have to rebuild the government.

Like jokes aside this is the most fascist thing he's done and it's not getting the attention it deserves.

it could happen. After what happened in Iowa they should lose their spot to start.
tbf if nevada had been a close race it too would be getting roasted online right now. these results are laaaate and very likely riddled with errors, too. hopefully they switch to a primary.

Yeah Nevada was still a mess, the Bernie landslide has allowed them to escape much scrutiny.

poor iowa

But this seems to confirm the theories that caucuses are frauds and now that they have to show their work and publish vote totals they're collapsing in on themselves. Who knows what was happening in the past!

Going to be up to him or her having a competent and as efficient as possible transition team/process going on. Start identifying likely new staffers in the 2 months between the election and swearing in. Won't address everything, but it'll be a start in hopefully not wasting time finding people after the term starts.

True, caucuses don't work without super delegates to throw their weight around to keep the process moving.

Could you elaborate on this process? Super Delegates have essentially nothing at all to do with the difference between a caucus and a primary.

A lot has been written about Hillary's and Warren's bad political instincts, but not enough about Sanders. I still stand by my claims that him being a stubborn contrarian & anti-establishment douche are as big of a problem as his political positions.
