It will only be 62% of a press conference. We will get more of the press conference at an undetermined point in the future. We expect to have the full press conference hopefully by June, but we still expect there to be irregularities that we may or may not be able to reconcile.

Frankly, we're just better at press conferences than the rest of the US.

I agree. I was just wonder if under performing in SC really hurts the delegate bounce he was expected to have going into Super Tuesday that may have 2-3 others still in the race.

Edit: Also by the time he gets to Super Tuesday he may have burned through his money.
Oh sorry, i misread your post. He would certainly be in dire straits if he underperforms in SC.

It's tough to say how much of the reality of primary voter sentiment gets driven by results in prior states. How much of it is interconnected and momentum driven, vs individual state's voters doing their own thing? Especially in a large field.

So, a few things...

1. I'm literally fucking baffled that some of you think Bloomberg is not only electable, but possibly the most electable? You all have come down with a serious case of Beltway Brain Rot, jesus christ.

You really think the guy most midwesterners only know as the billionaire who banned Big Gulps and guns is going to play well in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania? Lmao.

Bernie's weaknesses on guns and identity politics (and the fact that he's always been an "independent") are actually why he's probably the most electable in the midwest. I don't understand why some of you continue to insist that economic centrism is the path to winning the rust belt. I've lived here my whole life and the idea that Bloomberg of all people is our best shot is, again, fucking laughable. I'm sorry, I'm probably coming off as too harsh or hostile, I'm just literally dumbstruck at some of the Bloomberg conversations I read over the last few pages.

2. I know I'm a broken record at this point, but I will never understand why two 80 year olds with health problems are our top picks. I really, really like Bernie and I'll be voting for him, but his decision not to drop out and endorse Warren after the heart attack lowered my opinion of him by a whole fucking lot.

3. I'm hoping Pete gets absolutely crushed in the debate tonight and Biden continues to sink.

Laughed out loud at Bernie being the most electable in the Midwest. Not even close to being true.

Lived in the Midwest my entire life. Bernie is a running joke around here because people, even the poorest of the poor, think his plans wouldn't work here.

I can't wait for the discourse if Biden maintains his lead in SC.
He probably will but it depends on by how much.

If he gets like 30-35% then yeah he is still strong pick for nomination.

If it's like another Iowa mess here he barely gets first place with like 2 other people just behind him... he suddenly appears a lot weaker.

So basically it's a game of expectations and how over or under Biden will meet them.

I think unless you're a hardcore accelerationist, the fact the final 4 of this primary could possibly be Bloomberg, Pete, Biden, and Sanders is much worse than the situation where it was Kamala, Booker/Beto, Biden, and Sanders

Yup, thanks to Iowa, we have Bloomberg and Pete instead of Kamala and Beto :/ I can't wait until it's no longer the first state and heads towards obscurity.

Geoff Bennett @GeoffRBennett

NEWS via LTC Vindman's atty: "Today, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman was escorted out of the White House where he has dutifully served his country and his President. He does so having spoken publicly once, and only pursuant to a subpoena from the United States Congress."

Statement continues: "There is no question in the mind of any American why this man's job is over, why this country now has one less soldier serving it at the White House. [He] was asked to leave for telling the truth. His honor, his commitment to right, frightened the powerful."

More: "LTC Alexander Vindman leaves the White House today. But we must not accept the departure of truth, duty, and loyalty that he represents. In this country right matters, and so does truth." — LTC Vindman's attorney, Amb. David Pressman

Wow at that Vindman news. Imagine if Obama.... I read earlier in this topic he was already planning to leave by the end of February, but Trump wants to stick the knife in of course. Is he being moved to the US equivalent of Siberia, wherever that is? Or fired/forced to resign?

"In this country right matters, and so does truth. Truth is not partisan. If we allow truthful voices to be silenced, if we ignore their warnings, eventually there will be no one left to warn us."

The revenge tour begins.

Start betting now what news source eventually leaks a story about Trump wanting to push prosecution on Adam Schiff or Nancy Pelosi.

It's gonna be Jane Sanders, too. Josh Marshall has been warning about how the guy (Brady Toensing) who sent the letter that started the federal investigation into her college shenanigans is now working for Barr at Justice. So expect Jane Sanders to be under federal investigation by the summer if Bernie wins the nomination.

1. A congressional aide said she was sexually assaulted in a VA hospital.

2. @SecWilkie looked for info to discredit her.

3. Wilke called her allegation "unsubstantiated" even tho an independent investigation found it was not.
https://www.propublica.org/article/vva-secretary-looked-for-dirt-on-a-house-staffer-who-reported-sexual-assault-in-a-va-hospital-complaint-says …

Also guess who else pops into this story

Wilkie also met in his office with Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, who is a former Navy commando. After the meeting, Wilkie told his staff that Crenshaw agreed with the allegations that Wilkie made about Goldstein's credibility, according to the complaint, the former senior official and the other person with knowledge of the meeting.

Wilkie denied discussing Goldstein with Crenshaw. Crenshaw, in a brief interview in the Capitol, confirmed that he met with Wilkie. "I had breakfast with him once," Crenshaw said. "I know where this rumor's coming from. So you have a bunch of Democrat staffers who are leading you guys down a really stupid path. I've never been asked about the case, never been told about the case."

Wilkie and his staff have not publicized the information he collected about Goldstein's past. But after the inspector general concluded its investigation and federal prosecutors declined to bring charges, Wilkie sent a Jan. 15 letter to Congress calling Goldstein's complaint "unsubstantiated" and saying it "could deter our veterans from seeking the care they need and deserve."

Idk what to tell you man. Bernie's always done relatively well in polls of the region compared to other Democrats. His anti-establishment, anti-corruption brand plays well. As does the fact that he's "not even a real Democrat" as some on this board are quick to criticize him for. I'm not saying he'll win Ohio or Iowa, but I'm pretty confident in his ability to win the states we need.

If Biden didn't have Ukraine/Hunter hanging over his head, I'd feel pretty confident about him, just because his personality plays well here. But I am worried the media will "both sides" the corruption smears and do real damage to him here.

Idk who else you think does better than Bernie in the Rust Belt, but if you're answer is the billionaire who banned Big Gulps and who's top issue is banning guns, I'm gonna question that assessment.

Trump is directly tied into the Ukraine stuff. He can't bring it up without dragging himself into it.
