Biden, Florida didn't get the medicare expansion, and many other red states didn't and one even going to remove the ACA.
Also why are they scared to say taxes may go up to help pay for universal healthcare? Stop tap dancing around it and just be upfront and say the quality of life improvement for the average American will be more than worth it. In last night's debate, they were also scared to say taxes may go up.
Medicaid, not Medicare. And his plan actually gets around states that didn't expand Medicaid.
Because running on higher taxes is the most idiotic thing you can possibly do.
It's the one thing that even Bernie is super hesitant to talk about. The argument of course is that overall costs go down, but..... it's a tough sell.
Because the reality is in politics when you have to explain, you lose. Having a candidate say they will raise your taxes is the kind of sound bite people kill for. Nothing else will matter, and the plastering of "they have openly said they will raise your taxes" will work. It's a massive general election loser

Also the fact that you're paying for your health care now. Sure companies would pocket most of the lowered cost of having to pay for employee healthcare, but wages would go up in some cases because now your employer doesn't have to pay $500-$1500 a month, depending, extra on you. If employees saw a fifth of that it would be a solid raise, even if their taxes went up by 5% to compensate.
