Yaaaaa Harris is waaaay off game tonight. It's clear she didn't want to discuss the weeds in her plan.

Probably best for all involved that the majority of people are not paying attention yet, this is a rough showing

Oh my god. Bennet isn't going to boost himself, but Kamala can't defend M4All like Warren can.

I was surprised to see Castro support a public option.

Seriously though, people who want Biden as President are basically putting all their hopes towards the bureaucracy working meticulously. He already seems to be completely ill equipped for the presidency mentally.

On the technicalities of McConnell holding bills back, if the Democrats take the Senate in the election could they just introduce them all then? Would McConnell panicking and introducing them all at the last minute to get voted down require them to go back to Congress?

Basically, is McConnell holding back everything the way he has potentially going to come back and bite him in the ass?

All bills expire at the end of a Congress, so no.

I'm biased for Kamala,, but yeah I guess she wasn't ready for almost the whole stage to come after her on her healthcare plan. Blasio kind of bailing her out right now.

Also why are they scared to say taxes may go up to help pay for universal healthcare? Stop tap dancing around it and just be upfront and say the quality of life improvement for the average American will be more than worth it. In last night's debate, they were also scared to say taxes may go up.

First of all, Forma sucked at defending policy last night too. She quipped.

Kamala reactions are overblown. One good night and she's the champ. One bad night and she needs more polish. I think restraint is needed.

Because running on higher taxes is the most idiotic thing you can possibly do.

It's the one thing that even Bernie is super hesitant to talk about. The argument of course is that overall costs go down, but..... it's a tough sell.

Because the reality is in politics when you have to explain, you lose. Having a candidate say they will raise your taxes is the kind of sound bite people kill for. Nothing else will matter, and the plastering of "they have openly said they will raise your taxes" will work. It's a massive general election loser

The heckling has a point. The Obama administration did deport over 3 million people in the first term. They did this in good faith to get Republicans to sign onto comprehensive immigration reform. And we know how that turned out ...

Also the fact that you're paying for your health care now. Sure companies would pocket most of the lowered cost of having to pay for employee healthcare, but wages would go up in some cases because now your employer doesn't have to pay $500-$1500 a month, depending, extra on you. If employees saw a fifth of that it would be a solid raise, even if their taxes went up by 5% to compensate.

Lol, Andrew Yang pivots back to his one issue.

This debate format is giving me anxiety. 15-20 second responses? It only allows for fluff and no substance.
