So, how is it the democrat's fault that Trump is a xenophobic racist?
The Democrats made it clear, publicly, that they didn't back the young women of color in the House. That emboldened Trump to come out with this racist-ass garbage. He even explicitly defended Pelosi in this weekend's tweets.
We gotta hold Trump responsible. But if we are pretending that the Democratic Party hasn't been trying to silence these ladies for months, then we aren't holding them to full account. Dems can do much, much better.
They could and should have because it's the right thing to do but do you really think for a moment that Trump wouldn't be making the same racist rants either way because he got triggered watching Fox News earlier that morning?

I do think it's fair to expect more from the Democratic leadership in situations like these.
Nixon did this kind of shit all the time in casual conversation. Can you imagine all the times he ranted about Democrats collaborating with the Vietcong in between remarks about how the Jews were undermining him? He just had the good sense to not do it during public press conferences.
My position on the matter is the same as it was in April, when I criticized leadership's handling of the matter and condemned Republicans for inciting hatred against Omar.
Surely you can get yourself riled up without creating things out of whole cloth. We've all seen you do it many times!
The GOP is shit and has been shit for a long time. I'll vote against them every chance I get. But they are a lost cause, a party of deplorables. The Democratic Party can do much better on treatment of PoC and related issues. We must hold our own party accountable in order for it to improve.

Agreed. But what does that have to do with Trump, a racist, doing and saying racist things? He'll do that regardless of what we do, and it's not fair to blame Democrats for that.

That was my point as well. Dem leadership should be better, but it gets dragged up regularly despite whatever horrible shit the GOP is doing.
Yes, but one of the biggest reasons for why we're here in the first place is society would rather two-sides every fucking issue imaginable.
Again, for two reasons: (1) they hate feeling powerless and would rather believe that Democrats could stop all of this if they weren't spineless rather than be hopeless and accept we can't stop a lot of what Trump does or says; or (2) they have a bone to pick, no matter how legitimate, and want to insert it everywhere, regardless of relevance or context, to make their point.
