Volker: "The accusation that Vice President Biden was acting inappropriately didn't seem at all credible to me." Reminder: This is the GOP's witness.
I hope not. I can't imagine its a more enjoyable format. Is that why this thread is so slow today? Everyone jumping to discord?

Probably because all the media in the country is glued to these hearings, and so are politicians. Can't report on all the stupid shit politicians are saying if everyone is too busy watching TV.Is that why this thread is so slow today? Everyone jumping to discord?

I don't know if some people left because of something that happened here on the site, or if they think the site is going to close down. It's probably just that all the traffic is here, almost 4K posts today. Is that why this thread is so slow today? Everyone jumping to discord?
Wasn't Volcker in those text conversations? How can he say well if I had heard them talking about it oh boy I would have said something.

Volker says "in retrospect," he should not have looked at Burisma as distinct from the Bidens. He said he should have seen "that connection differently." He added: "Had I done so, I would have raised my own objections."

Volker, one of the three GOP witnesses, deflates Republican attacks that Biden acted inappropriately in Ukraine. "It's just not credible to me," he says

By "thread the needle" Volker seems to be trying to say he was hoping he could appease Trump's improper desire for a political investigation of the Bidens by getting what was a facially legitimate investigation of Burisma.

I hope people watching understand that Volker, who says "The allegations against Vice President Biden are self-serving and not credible," is the Republicans' witness.
Nothing afaik. I only found out something was up via this topic earlier. I'll leave this discussion to others.
Hard to say, he always looks like 450 pounds of greasy fast food feces stuffed into a leaky 300 pound day-glo orange bag, draped with a suit three sizes too large with a puckered anus in the middle of his sagging lump of face that somebody glued a clump of bleached roadkill onto. His corpse could sit in the sun for a week and nobody would notice he's dead as long as somebody comes by to douse it in spray tan and jiggle the fat folds a little while making rambling racist noises.
Thread's also slower as there isn't any b-plot coming out during the hearings. Remarkable message control by the White House.
Tv ratings are down, so trump is innocent. Better luck next time nerds.

Want to easily expose flaw in #Volker's claiming he did not connect Burisma to Biden? Look at what Volker testified in his own words in October. Volker said he finally agreed Ukraine statement should not mention Burisma. Why? "could be seen as interfering in 2020 elections"!
The WH just released this statement from NSC adviser, office of VP Pence, Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg "As an exceedingly proud member of President Trump's Administration and as a 34-year highly experienced combat veteran ... I heard nothing wrong or improper on the call."
