They have a single runway that is reeeeeally far off. It's the only place they could build a longer runway for larger birds.
I'm on a 764! This is outrageous. Get me there faster please. This is my third time landing here this year and every time it gets longer. Plenty of time to strangle children tho. @shinra

Still nice to land and get nyt alerts about trumpism failing.

He took a motorcade to Walter Reed that the press was ordered to keep secret for a blood draw?

It's strange.

he went to visit a totally real soldier having surgery. And since he was already at the hospital, as one does, he got some stuff done despite not having made an appointment. This is a perfectly reasonable turn of events and nothing the WH has done over the past 3 years should make us skeptical of their explanation.

So...tomorrow's shows will have republicans saying Edwards is hardly a national democrat to which the interviewers will surely say, "so you didn't portray him as a socialist friend of Nancy Pelosi in your ads?"

"those weren't my ads, those were from a shell group of a shell group called 'Americans For Freedom and Eagles', and while we're on the subject, let's talk about Hunter Biden!!!"

Isn't the destiny of the country and the world to urbanize? You figure the rural parts of the country can only stay rural for so long.

I suppose you could say I completed "phase one" of my physical this year because neurology had a 4 month wait list. So, yeah, he's surely just making fun of our system as he waits for an opening!

What medical condition is Trump hiding? I've never heard of a healthy individual going to see a doctor on a Saturday.

So that poll from Iowa reinforces that Bernie is consolidating his support with 57% of his supporters saying they have their mind made up and 51% being excited voting for him. This was something we saw a very similar to the New Hampshire Quinnipiac poll where 57% of Sanders voters said their mind is made up & 44% of his voters say they are extremely excited.

With 30 million being invested in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina and California - we will begin to see in the coming weeks if his support among 65+ starts to go up. We've seen Pete eat into Biden's 65+ support thanks to his big investment in early states, now Sanders has started going after older voters via tv spending.

Make Biden lose.

That's all that matters IMO.

I mean Pete is sleezy, he is doing some pretty fucked up stuff that major media aren't really covering(like a campaign chair for Sanders campaign "endorsing" him) which if Bernie's campaign had done we would never hear the end of. He is a shite mayor who just has big money backing. His meetings with Pelosi and big donors in April has played a big part in his rise. By out spending Biden/Harris/Beto and the rest of the field bar Bernie/Warren he has been able to slowly eat away in their lead in early voting states - while his national average is still in single digits.

I still prefer him to Biden who actually has done some reprehensible things like vote for the War in Iraq, but not by much. Both are better than Trump but cmon we can do a lot better.

If Bernie people want more people to hear about how sleazy Pete is, maybe Bernie should you know go after him! There's been way more quotes on his responses to Warren's plans vs. the Iowa front runner.

Oh, everything's terrible news for Democrats.

Also:

I think we've finally found the point where disgust at outright racism and sexism > tax cuts for suburban whites. Thanks Trump!

Trump must be having a hell of a night. Got the clap and failed in LA.

This means Dem President can win LA, right?

Clinton did it in 92 ;)

centrist donors are so worried about the current field that they're going to attempt to bring back LBJ from the dead

Seeing as the SC ripped up parts of the VRA I'd love to see LBJ's comments on it.

I don't think Bernie's campaign is interested at this point, he won't go negative unless he is cornered. I think his surrogates might go after Pete and obviously the loud internet community but Bernie himself will remain above the fray. As far as his campaign is concerned - he has his base, he is focused on Latino outreach, on building bigger operations in Nevada and California and on getting as many volunteers as possible across the US. While everyone else is sort of battling to eat away from Biden's lead among 65+ year olds.

With the financial advantage the campaign has, it will also have a chance to go after these older voters, as I mentioned in an earlier post. We shall see how much money is able to impact this group - since a lot of people seem to think Sanders could never appeal to 65+ crowd. All Sanders needs to achieve there is to be in double digits come primary/caucus day with 65+ and that should enable him to be the front runner in terms of delegates for Super Tuesday.

I eagerly await the new talking point that suburbs are dens of liberal elitists and should be shunned at all costs.

Also, the Trump medical story freaking reeks. Nothing about the WH release makes sense. This is totally the kind of admin that would hide a significant medical issue until he literally drops dead at the podium. And then Weekend at Bernie his corpse for 3 months for more judges.

He's the next Woodrow Wilson, except his Edith Wilson wouldn't know the first fucking thing about managing the WH so it would be an entertaining car crash.

Yours too? I tried to reschedule an appointment with my neurologist, and they said they were booked into JULY! I kept the current appointment because WTF?! Tell me again why we can't have healthcare like Canada because "they have long waits".

Published Saturday morning:
From their matching red ties to their matching rhetoric, President Trump and Eddie Rispone, the Republican challenger to Louisiana's incumbent governor, John Bel Edwards, have tried to erase any distinction between them.
"You need to fire your far-left governor," Trump told the crowd of nearly 14,000 on Thursday night in Bossier City.
"We have to fire our liberal, socialist-leaning governor, John Bel Edwards," Rispone said when Trump gave him the microphone at the CenturyLink Center.
While it is Rispone's name that appears on the ballot Saturday for governor of Louisiana, in many respects it is Trump's reputation on the line, and that is by choice. Trump has injected himself into the governor's race with unusual vigor, hoping for a state-flipping win that he can take credit for. Unseating Edwards would do a lot to erase the sting of the public impeachment hearings and the news that the incumbent Republican he had backed in the Kentucky governor's race had earlier Thursday finally conceded defeat. " I really need you … to send a message to the corrupt Democrats in Washington," a somewhat subdued Trump urged the audience. "So you've gotta give me a big win, please. OK?"

Brian Schatz @brianschatz

Hey are these Trump rallies definitely helping the Republicans?

Yet again, you have to ask why there is never any media hand-wringing over the GOP being completely 'out of touch' with any sort of urban/metropolitan area, like the narrative that the Dems are 'out of touch' with rural America. https://twitter.com/Redistrict/status/1195913294437068800 …

We all know major cities are trending blue, but Edwards (D) breaking 90% in Orleans Parish is still pretty breathtaking. #LAGOV

This makes me pretty angry. Some random citizen does something and you get a thousand takes about how the Dems have gone too far and are divisive. Meanwhile Trump and the GOP can say American cities are like war zones and there's a collective shrug.

You....you cannot be fucking serious.

There's no way that this is true.

The final margin is likely to be very close. A Dem strategist I just spoke with credits LSU's win vs. Alabama for voters' satisfaction w/ direction of state & Edwards's razor-thin victory. #LAGOV

I think that highlights how far the media has gone to the right. They've only done so to keep access, but their attempt at keeping things "open and fair" has us in a situation where even talks about supporting universal coverage is considered a "far-left issue." It's created a puzzling situation that the Dems are seen as the fringe and divisive, not the party of "shithole nations," attacks on congress members districts, and treating every blue city in America as if its hijacked by cartels.

How the media hasn't called the GOP a political terrorist organization, even if we left it to their """plans""" about healthcare astound me. They're treated as reasonable but they are in all measure the anchor that keeps us from compassion and decency when it comes to policy making in this country. They should be painted as villains, not some fair side that's "close to the center."

Dem should have won Mississippi governor's election as well to get the trifecta of wins. Where is that guy related to Elvis Presley? Is he even running for anything? I for sure thought he'd be a good national figure for Democrats from Mississippi.

Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1

Waiters were coming and going as Gordon Sondland called Trump from the outdoor section of a Kyiv restaurant and discussed Zelensky's willingness to conduct investigations, an episode that highlighted the lack of security around a presidential call. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/sondland-discussed-sensitive-matters-with-trump-on-phone-from-kyiv-restaurant-as-waiters-circled/2019/11/16/9c651cbc-08b3-11ea-b388-434b5c1d7dd8_story.html …

Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1

Sondland was texting back and forth on WhatsApp with Andriy Yermak throughout the trip, and had been communicating with other Ukrainian officials over the app in the preceding and subsequent months. Most of those messages haven't been made public or handed over to investigators. https://twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/1196056661192069122 …
