I guess my point is to punish Trump in a way for being a complete idiot. He didn't take $20B for the wall before. Now we can say the deal is $5B + more stuff we want. Of course he isn't going to want to do any kinda of DACA and/or amnesty. That's the whole point. It makes him a complete loser when he is forced to take a deal.

Once the whites are no longer the majority, I expect Kavanaugh to write a majority opinion citing the 15th amendment as a reason why partisan gerrymandering should not just be legal but be the law of the land.
Interestingly, if any of these unpaid federal workers have any sick time, that might be a sad backwards way of getting paid at least some depending on how that stuff is drawn up.

Are you assuming Trump gets re-elected in this scenario, or that Gillibrand opts to primary whatever Democrat is serving as President? I'd go with 2028 just based on the sheer optimism that Trump won't win a second term.
I assumed airports over a certain size would be required by law to use TSA otherwise they'd be using their own security already. I expect it's TSA or no one flies.

The only reason we have the TSA is because the airlines and airports don't want the responsibility (read: legal liability) for security and protecting passengers. No way do they take on the mantle and set that standard.
I don't know If I want to know the answer to this question.. considering the budget of the TSA....
but all the options = less security checks. So in effect, they'll handle less people on the job, by doing their job worse.
