I don't really think so, but I see it as a obvious thing. You see, US may think other bases can be safe because Iran wouldn't risk attacking other countries. This is leaving the US in a corner. The US has to be willing to take other countries as targets if they want to retaliate like that.

The US assassinated a military official, Iran was well within their right to retaliate against the US and both sides know the potential cost of a full blown war.

Iran has the means of protecting themself from attacks too. That's the point. They would need to go to a War on Iraqi soil
To explain it to the kids in the back of the class, Iran is heavily mountainous and those mountains have been stockpiling surface-to-air munitions for the past thirty years for some mysterious reason nobody knows that definitely isn't agressive US foreign policy. A ground war like Iraq is not happening. Air supremacy is not guaranteed. If this spirals into a war, it's gonna be bad.
