If you like epic boss fights, hand holding at a minimum, upgrading your character with lots of weapons and abilities that open up new areas, then you'll love this game. The story is also top notch. It reminds me most of the original Metroid with the refindments of Super Metroid mixed in. Highly recommend this game. Oh, and the music can be amazing as well. The dev is also a boss and pretty much made this game to help care for his special needs child. Is Axiom Verge good?
I love Metroidvanias, but I don't want to play just any.
Loved Hollow Knight of course.
What digital games are recommended? I've mostly only had only Nintendo titles so far. I am thinking about grabbing Diablo 3, Hollow Knight, Monster Hunter Generations, and Child of Light. Anything else?
I realize your budget may be limited, but I just wanted to say that if you enjoy such games, from a "the hours you will get out of this game" angle, Diablo 3 is more than worth the full price.Too bad Diablo isn't on sale again on EU, I have 13€ in gold coins, was gonna pull the trigger.
Just in case I'm missing it - is there maybe a way to sort in the eshop so you see the latest additions to the sales first?Reposting since this was at the bottom on the previous page:
Many Ubisoft games are currently on sale until December 31:
-Starlink: Battle for Atlas - Deluxe Edition: $39.99 (scroll down for the correct edition).
-Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle: $19.79
-South Park: The Stick of Truth: $14.99
-South Park: The Fractured But Whole: $23.99
-Child of Light - Ultimate Edition: $9.99
-Rayman Legends - Definitive Edition: $15.99
There are some others on sale too, including some 3DS games.
I'm not seeing it but the link where I said "There are some others on sale too..." in my previous post looks like it posts the sale pages from top to bottom in the most recent order.Just in case I'm missing it - is there maybe a way to sort in the eshop so you see the latest additions to the sales first?

That reminds me, do DLCs / season passes ever go on sale on Switch? I'm specifically looking for the Zelda, Mario VS Rabbids, Splatoon and Sonic Mania ones, but I assume they're still full-price...

You can now search by a DLC filter. You can add the sale filter as well to see what is all out thereThat reminds me, do DLCs / season passes ever go on sale on Switch? I'm specifically looking for the Zelda, Mario VS Rabbids, Splatoon and Sonic Mania ones, but I assume they're still full-price...
Don't have a card that works in US. I realize the game is worth full price but since it has already been on sale once (during game awards) I prefer to wait for the next time it is.I realize your budget may be limited, but I just wanted to say that if you enjoy such games, from a "the hours you will get out of this game" angle, Diablo 3 is more than worth the full price.
I could also suggest you switch region since in NA I think the sale is still on for Diablo, but if you do that you wouldn't be able to use your EU gold coins, so this won't work for you.
My man. thanks buddy.

Wait till next year. If they do put the expansions on switch there will prob be a bundle for the game + expansions
I am pretty sure that's not true since I've definitely seen zelda dlc go on saleThere's some DLC listed in the OP.
Nintendo DLC never goes on sale.
I've never seen any of their DLC go on sale on any platform. The closest has been Pikmin 3 or MK8 packs being on My Nintendo for some gold points.I am pretty sure that's not true since I've definitely seen zelda dlc go on sale

I will never not recommend DOOM. It's just so oddly sick (in a great way) to play a game like that on a portable, IMO.What digital games are recommended? Wait what? In EU only or something?
I own Rocket League on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch, and have played it a lot on all platforms.I've heard lag is bad on Rocket League for Switch, can anyone comment on that?
I found that most of the enemies in Axiom Verge were kind of obnoxious and unfair, and some were impossible to kill even in the best circumstances without getting hurt at all. I did enjoy it overall, but if you haven't played Steamworld Dig 2 yet that should be your priority. It's one of my favorite metroidvanias (and games in general) in years. Is Axiom Verge good?

They absolutely were not on sale nor were the games themselves on sale. You can read my thread for the BF sale to see that:

It's cool. NOE seems to be way more generous than NOA when it comes to putting their games on sale and even some DLC, whereas NOA considers the season pass price to be the only sale necessary for everybody around here.
