So no games are being made for it right now? I wonder if Gears 6 is still using UE4.

This doesn't look any different than the PS4 Pro to me to be honest.
Impressive demo, and it's going to make people pissed off when they see actual games on the next gen consoles are not matching this at launch.
ffs people are actually calling this game-play, get real, it looks nice but its in engine demo don't kid yourself. Looks good, I personally wasn't blown away but i think that's more of a product of expectations and diminishing returns, games already look good, I'm hoping this new gen will create more complex rich worlds with no load times or artificial looking environments.
yeah no, that was kinda dumb imo since that was often needed for loading."Next gen is here, with the ssd we won't have any stupid loading sequences anymore!" :Character starts squeezing between two walls really slowly in the demo:
It's a joke, calm down.
That demo also was never advertised to be running on PS4/Xbox One. It was running on a high-end PC much more capable than either of those consoles. Here's an old "real-time" Unreal 4 demo from 2013 for comparison:

FF7R looks about as good as that, so hopefully PS5 games will be able to match this new UE5 demo.
Loading was never going to go away completelyFunny with all this talk about SSDs and zero loading, we get a "character slowly squeezing through a tight space" moment two minutes into the demo.
Even if they dont come close to this, im really looking foward to the first UE5 games. This nanite shit looks incredible.Out on 2021 for the public, other major partners most likely already have/will soon have their hands on it.
We actually do not know what the what the deciding factor in performance in this demo is regarding how it stresses RAM or streaming into RAM. They did not clarify what the memory budget was for anything. We just know that Nanite and Lumen are heavy on the GPU for generating frames at medium resolutions - hence it running at 1440p 30.SSD streaming absolutely critical for the performance of this demo.
Tim Sweeney: "Sony's storage is system is absolute world class. Best on any platform. Better than any high-end PC."
My ps4 pro would burst in flames if it tried playing this demo lol.
Smoke and mirrors level streaming will always be there, but maybe the tight spaces will be smaller lolFunny with all this talk about SSDs and zero loading, we get a "character slowly squeezing through a tight space" moment two minutes into the demo.

That run on a high end PC, never on a console, and never said it would. Here's an old "real-time" Unreal 4 demo from 2013 for comparison:

Should run on Xbox and high end pc, too.Do we think when they say SSD tech for PS5 is pushing this, that epic just means hey, the SSD in general is doing this OR are they saying the PS5 ssd is doing this
We never should have assumed that all these tight squeeze segments were hiding loading times, some of them were clearly just a cinematic gameplay choice.
They literally show the character flying amidst debris falling all over at high speed in an open environment, but sure, you got them.
