So is Smyths the last bastion of hope for an X when they get their shit sorted?
Sounds like John Lewis haven't gone live yet. Someone a few pages back said PS5 went up around midday.

Looks like just bundles are available now.
An extra £30 for Legion or 3 months Game Pass isn't bad though tbf
i lived in a town in somerset when the 360 was released. pretty sure gamestation there received the leftover dregs in regards to allocation, haha. i think if i remember rightly they were sent two xbox core/20gb or whatever they were called.Yeah you'd think so. I bet the major stores know their allocation. Smaller stores probably will find out later depending on demand.
I have my spare up on eBay too purely because Argos have taken my money upfrontJust had a scan of Ebay UK to see if people were chucking them up already. Fucking FULL of the bastards listing them at 500-600 quid. Some nutters even much higher.
Some peope even selling just the preorders for 100+.
Game was up for about an hour this morning managed to get mine ordered at 8.48Both GAME and Smyths still down...over two and a half hours since they were meant to go live...(although in fairness, GAME was up for like 15 seconds).
The did have it back in stock for a while but it was gone again in 3 minutes.Nope, earlier on it would pop up for pre-order but the link would't work. Wonder if it was someone cancelling an order? Or just a glitch.
True, can't find that anymore though. An extra £30 for Legion or 3 months Game Pass isn't bad though tbf
as soon as you click pay
A little surprised that Series S is still in plentiful supply on Amazon, although not THAT surprising when you consider it's really targeted at a more casual audience rather than us hardcore day 1 people.
Amazes me that these sites don't adequately prepare for the traffic.
Exactly, I've been saying the same on here since it was announced.A little surprised that Series S is still in plentiful supply on Amazon, although not THAT surprising when you consider it's really targeted at a more casual audience rather than us hardcore day 1 people.

Smyths update
XAA has not gone smoothly at all, I imagine MS will be a bit disappointed about that.
Who knows when that'll be back up. Could be at the most random time, ur right though. The bad news is that when it goes live, everyone who hasn't snagged one by then, will be hitting the site...

i must be out of the loop but smyths isn't a place i'd have ever thought would be in the running to work with MS for all access. wonder if a bid was put in? yikes.
Its funny because after fees they are left with maybe £50 profitJust had a scan of Ebay UK to see if people were chucking them up already. Fucking FULL of the bastards listing them at 500-600 quid. Some nutters even much higher.

GAME had it as well. Defo weren't ready for the push. They were the only place last gen that did it for One S/X I think?
Regardless. One retailer having problems is unfortunate. Both shitting the bed separately for different reasons is awful.
Only when dispatched.Do amazon charge when you preorder, or when the console is dispatched?
strange, maybe they already have contracts with klarna? They were the only place last gen that did it for One S/X I think?

How have the UK preorders gone today? Wondering if people have had more luck with all retailers going online at the same time and therefore distributing the demand, as opposed to last week's panic rush from one retailer to another with the PS5

Seems to have been a lot smoother. Probably a combination of retailers sticking to the correct time and less demand for MS' console. How have the UK preorders gone today? System purchases seem to have been fine generally, but All Access has basically failed to work except for the very first few people as those two retailers have had enormous issues.
I've got both on pre-order from Amazon so not sure what issue you had?Glad I ordered my Series S from Microsoft, as I didn't know at the time Amazon wouldn't let me order both models. Got the X from Amazon, S from Microsoft. The S is for my kids at Christmas.
MS already have a contract with Klarna, so I can't understand why they too didn't offer XAA as a result. Especially if Klarna's the lender in the case of both Smyths and GAME.
yeah i'm honestly surprised MS didn't just keep it for themselves.MS already have a contract with Klarna, so I can't understand why they too didn't offer XAA as a result. Especially if Klarna's the lender in the case of both Smyths and GAME.
Seemingly could have ordered multiple from various sites if I wanted to, so pretty smooth. How have the UK preorders gone today?
