We've just had RE2, KH3, AC7, SMBUDX all do well in the UK and I'm sure I'm missing some.
Is it FIFA, GTA, or Call of Duty? There's your answer.
Also it's March, we don't buy games outside of Xmas.
I'd like to point out that I am discussing single pieces of c-media looked at in isolation, not the effect of all. And in isolation, no single piece is worth much of anything. Taken as a whole, there is power there, and it is made for the benefit of the ruling classes and no one else.
if one does find genuine meaning and human contact through corporate media, it is not a result of the specific media itself but through their own efforts and humanity. Moreover, corporate media is more often a source of deception and distraction than anything real. Hence, heavy media consumption is an impediment to actualisation.
Finally, crediting MCU movies with dissolving racism...just no. They are merely profiting by reflecting the hard won social changes that folks like mlk fought and died for.
Far Cry does well, I also assume Division 2 will sell over 100k too
Lol at anyone freaking out over some UK charts. Games don't sell that much there anyway so it's not an indicator of anything. Games like God of War and Spider-Man didn't even do 100,000 over then in their launch week. When will some of you learn..
Spider-man sold huge numbers first week in the UK and GOW also beat it series record there also if i remember right .
In fact when spidey came out it became biggest launch for the year in the UK .
There have also been like 100 million new steam accounts made since 2008 and people going digital in general is a forgone conclusion. DMC5 being capcom's second best PC launch since Monster Hunter is no small feet.
Factoring in a 50% digital ratio it would be still down on DMC4 then, but only slightly. Maybe it will habe better legs because of the good word of mouth.
A shame really but unless you're some triple AAA release, of course you won't sell in the UK, the land of COD, Rockstar and Fifa
I see some are concerned for DMC due to sales from a market that has low sales and never reflects on what's going on everywhere else.
Only a few sell well over thousands in one year. Digital sales have increased by a large margin as well.

It depends on the game but UK does give you a idea a lot of the time.

Yet UK sales have been in line with WW numbers quite often. RE2 sold well in the UK, it also sold well WW, same for KH3, AC7, Pokemon Let's Go, Smash, Spider-Man, SMBUDX, Forza Horizon 4, RDR2. I can go on...
Damn... Sales pretty low, but not counting digital, so we can assume that overall sales are quite a bit better than DmC...
That split is pretty big, that marketing deal didn't pay off.
Yes, I'm sure its launch week sales were actually 2000k just in the UK.
