No. That's Division Heartland. This is a F2P FPS that combines Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and the Division into a multiplayer game. Think Tom Clancy Smash Bros.
Activision is taking so long to reveal COD 2021 that Ubisoft is taking over.
I see people saying it will be a mobile game. Any truth to that? The gameplay looks decent enough for a download.
Console/PC as per the original leak. Folks probably thinking of the division mobile game.or the rainbow six magnum thing and just assuming it's one of those. Ubi have a few of these things boiling
I don't understand how are they still allowed to use the name of a dead writer in their games. I thought it was going to happen eventually the same that happened with Codemasters and Colin McRae.
They own the license to use his name for video games. Basically they own the Tom Clancy video game brand.
Glad someone else is seeing the sheer lack of creativity from Ubisoft.
It's going to be some service title a slightly zany look to better support selling crazy skins.
My prediction
His estate will be continuing to maintain the contract with Ubisoft I would assume.
It's not as if they do a bad job with the various games they've made over the last 25 years
There's basically nothing else out there aside from COD that fills this space within MP shooters. Small to medium maps, with fast respawn times and quick TTK.
True. This year is stacked with MP shooters, and Ubisoft still has Heartland coming this year or early next year.
Sorry dude but I don't think that's going to happen in the next decade or so. Siege officially made R6 a multiplayer franchise and this game is almost definitely Tom Clancy Overwatch.
That would be monumental considering the tech behind FB, DICE's experience, and the scale of the game. There are not really any non-COD, COD style shooters on the market that really come to mind besides Warface which fell off.
I mean I'll give it a fair shake. The FPS arena genre is looking a little bleak right now. Always nice to see new ones come out. I wonder if it will be f2p
Gunplay doesn't look too bad? I'm kinda interested. With this year COD going WW2, which I have zero interest in, this could fill a gap that BF2042 won't fill.
Basically anything set a in loosely connected universe that was set up in the "original" Tom Clancy games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Splinter Cell. I think it was Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon 2, and GRAW that really cemented the Tom Clancyverse if you will.
Any games loosely connected to the lore gets slapped with the TC brand.
