A Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday called for Attorney General William Barr to be impeached, alleging that he is not following the rule of law.

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), an outspoken progressive on the panel, advocated for Barr to be impeached during a hearing on the politicization of the Justice Department (DOJ).

"We should pursue impeachment of Bill Barr because he is reigning terror on the rule of law," Cohen said.

Another House Democrat, Rep. Bill Pascrell (N.J.), later endorsed Cohen's call for impeachment on Twitter.

Take the presidency, senate and house in the fall and fuck this gopher until his ass bleeds. Until then don't bother.

Two? Should be two hundred. And it should've been months ago. Fuck this political calculus. Like Trump, he's committed so many impeachable offenses that it's hard to even keep up. Impeach him. It'll at least shine a light on this unbelievably corrupt administration.

It's really not worth the political capital at this point. House will be stonewalled again, Senate won't do anything. Courts won't act.

Focus on trying to push competent legislation at this point and deal with Barr in the event Biden is elected with the Senate.

That's a waste of time too. Anything they pass over to the Turtle will end up in the graveyard. And what can they do to Barr after Trump is out of office? Throw his ass in prison? Dream on.

It's not exactly a waste of time if Dems take the senate in November. Those same bills drafted at the house can be reviewed and used as a template to pass as is or to be improved upon.

At least proposed legislation now would be largely written and able to be reintroduced quickly in the event the Dems have the Senate too.

Absolutely should. Make the GOP defend this lawlessness. If you see the tantrum Gohmert threw today because of testimony that Barr is corrupt you can see the GOP does not want to have to defend this, just like they didn't want to have to defend Trump.

Was this the video floating around of Gohmert banging on the table during a testimony trying to bang loud enough to drown out the testimony?
