TV personality Jessi Combs killed in Land-Speed Record Crash

Very sad news, but i guess she enjoyed the thrill and died doing what she loved doing.

There must be an insane amount of risk with these speed records, i don't get why they are so important or why a person or their team (and sponsors) would actually risk it.
