They probably don't care much about the KY results considering the history of democratic governors there and how hated Bevin is. It's more embarrassing for Trump after going there campaigning and giving us those soundbytes about how bad it will be for him to lose.
Virginia is the thing they should be concerned about. It flipped democrat and I think it shows more than KY that people are tired of Republicans and their shit.

Flipside is that some Rs aren't afraid to leave the top of the ticket blank, Trump's margins were tight in 2016
Local elections tend to have lower turn out which favors Republicans.

Super bummed that it's looking like Cole might not win in VA-28. He got so close in 2017, and some ballot fuckery happened that could've made the difference. Really sucks that he's losing by more to a crazier Republican this time. Really hope it swings when the last few outstanding votes come in.

That wasn't really true last year and I don't think it's true so far tonight. The Republican base has been very motivated in the Trump era, Dems have just been equally or more motivated and independents have been breaking from Trump.
