*Extremely significant* tweet.

He no longer believes he can win, he no longer has faith in himself to do so.

His tweets offer a snapshot into his unhinged mind and this is definitely one of those times.

He wants to win, badly. Seeing as he views virtually everything in that lens. There was never any doubt about that. But he had a bit of a shock and is staring at a fight he is extremely ill equipped for.

This is him setting up the excuses for his loss now.

It's not even going to be close. I always knew in 2016 it would be close. That's not going to happen here and poll after poll shows this, polling that shows why 2020 is different than 2016 and it's going to be closer to a landslide. This excites the hell out of me! Can't wait to vote. In less than 4 months I will be. Mid October. And apparently even Republican internals can't be faked enough to make Trump happy or else he wouldn't already be saying he'll lose because of cheating.

I'll save some the trouble and say something ignorant so they don't have to quote me "2016 polling was wrong". There.

A blowout would be fantastic. Can't wait to rub it in the face of every conservative baby who have gloated about Trumps win since 2016

His rally that the campaign bragged had given out a million tickets only gets 6200 to show up. Polls looking especially bad for him lately. "They're going to rig the election against me!" Uh-huh... Sure.

We see that for what it is - meat for the base and a baseless excuse to try some unconstitutional shit to try overturn the results of the election if he loses.

Wow, I didn't know the voting system was so fucked up that I could just print off as many ballots as I want and send them in to guarantee my team wins!

*sigh*

Reminder for every day:
Pretend that there's voting fraud with mail in ballots > encourage conservatives to commit fraud with mail in ballots > point to all the fraud with mail in ballots

so is it a joke or not
the president indicating he'll lose was a joke! You libs just want to get offended by everything, you just hate Trump.

But the election fraud, that is very, very real. Trump wasn't joking about that. But he was joking about it being a scandal and him losing.

Glad we got that cleared up.

1. Print them in America. Use that stupid wall money to do it.
2. Stop going behind our backs asking other foreign powers to rig our elections for "favors".
3. Put pressure on Mitch to stop blocking election oversight and security bills.

Or.

He knows he can't win, doesn't actually want to do anything to get people to want to vote for him that aren't white supremacists or the ultra rich. He just wants a second term handed to him just because.

Shit like this is infuriating. If the general population honestly believes that elections are rigged, the whole system falls apart.
Yeah, rigged like he said the 2016 elections were... which he decided weren't when he won 😂
Uhhh, he continued to say they were rigged even after he won due to his ego not being able to handle he didn't win the popular vote.

I... Will the army remove him from office? If he tries to ignore election results?

As someone who has now voted by mail in multiple elections I've always wondered if there's a way for us to see a receipt of some sort to confirm that our votes were counted. Is there?

Let's hope so. But they're very radicalized, and constantly angry, and tend to relentlessly vote unfortunately.
That's the thing though. Tulsa kind of proved otherwise. It was the chance for a big "fuck you" to liberals about the virus, and practically nobody showed up. The passion has left them. Even at the speech people were bored and yawning because "the wall, Hillary Clinton, and sleepy Joe Biden just had near zero effect.

For anger and hate to thrive they have to have new material and Trump can't find it. It was supposed to be China and the Virus and Hunter Biden and Corruption but those are shot.

He's pretty much saying he knows he's going to lose and making this claim now. I fully expect him not to concede his loss to Biden and to refuse to leave the White House. We're going to see armed military personnel escorting him off the grounds.

Of course, never underestimate voter suppression efforts and campaigns from Republicans and their governors and Trump not to seek foreign assistance to win.

It's so amazingly blatant how anything works in Trump's mind.

Something is good for him personally? Best thing ever, takes credit for it, etc.
Something is bad for him personally? It's rigged, fraudulent, not his responsibility, blames others, etc.

Perfect example of the worst kind of "leader" you can imagine.

SO long as Trump loses I can tolerate a little rigging.
I'll be honest I was annoyed reading this. This is not how Democracy should work. But then I realized that every Republican in power right now fully agrees with you about rigging as long as Republicans can stay in power. Hell we've heard it from some of them directly how it's ok if Trump gets foreign help to win because Trump feels him winning is the best thing for America! Therefore if you think Republicans are the best thing for America, it's ok to cheat!

Reminds me of how Farage and his crew were bleating about how the Brexit vote was going to be rigged by people voting in pencil, encouraging them to bring markers and pens with them so they couldn't be erased...

Talk of which very quickly disappeared when they won.

I think it depends on the state and how they go about it. In Arizona you can login and see that your vote was received. Though I don't believe it tells you whom you voted for, which it should IMO.

How would this even work tho? Isnt each vote tied to an id and SSN?

Yes.

Recall when the GOP said 2012 was rigged because there were precincts where Romney didn't get a single vote. It's the easiest thing to catch. Offer $100K to anybody who voted Romney at those precincts. They didn't do that because it's BS.

It must really suck for him that attacking Biden has proven incredibly less effective than it was when he would attack Hillary. I would have expected Trump spouting his "rigged election" nonsense happening in late September. I get the feeling he's struggling to find a way to get enough republican voters on his side this time around. Hopefully I'm not just wish thinking!

I pass by a fireworks store numerous times whenever I'm on shift and it has this Trump merch stand way out front by the highway with half a dozen Trump flags planted around it. Most of them are typical MAGA or KAG banners in different color schemes, but one of them depicts Trump as a buff, shirtless commando firing an M16 wildly into the air and I'm over here thinking how broken does your brain have to be to consider this doughy, whiny bitch the epitome of manliness.

Good job putting it into the mind of your own voters that whatever they do is pointless. Great strategy, stupid.

So projection, because we all know that the Republicans are gonna try their hardest to rig this election as much as possible

Preparing the groundwork for refusing to leave office in Jan (when he's voted out) and then getting the SCOTUS and or Barr to call the election in his favour..

Gee, that's a surprise. He said that last time even though he won. He's also been president for a couple of years and could have done something about election security if he was actually serious about it, but we all know what this is really about.
