Look at that baby throwing a tantrum. Internal GOP survey numbers for him must be atrocious on top of state governors and business leaders not taking him seriously.

"Defy my own orders!"
He's been pushing to get stay at home lifted and the economy opened back up almost since it was instituted but 1) it's not his call how governors handle their stay at home orders and 2) medical advisors were saying that's a bad idea so the date kept getting pushed back.

He knows this shit economy is a reflection on him not to mention his personal financial interests taking a huge hit. Since it's not within his power to lift stay at home orders he's siding with these loons to try to put pressure on the governors.

He had had no real consequence for his lunacy before. Now it's the ultimate test, if the mass deaths that are squarely on his back do not affect his election, it's safe to say the US concept of democracy is over

As someone in Minnesota right now this state is by and large doing an incredible job keeping the virus at bay. Some of the lowest per capita numbers in the country.

So him and his little group of GOP billionaire funded fake protesters can fuck right off.

Does Trump even understand that he is dealing with a virus? You can't Twitter shitpost a virus.

"The people in those states, very good people, they are having a rough time. They want to get back to work. They've had some harsh restrictions, very harsh."

That's what he'll say

Encouraging your voters to risk catching the virus and dying in key swing states is an interesting strategy.

The tweet was for Virginia, not West Virginia. The thread title has a typo. West Virginia is MAGA territory. He's only targeting states with Democratic governors. Funny too, our governor in Ohio signed a pact with Minnesota and Michigan, and has been just as aggressive as those states with stay at home orders while facing MAGA protests, but he's a Republican so he left him out.

I wonder what's actually happening in those 3 minutes between the tv airing and the tweet... Like it doesn't take 3 minutes to write a tweet like that and there's no way he's actually pausing to weigh in the pros and cons of a tweet before posting it...

historically that's useally how it ends
pretty sure he's not talking about West Virginia but rather Virginia who is run by a democrat, He's attacking Democrats in these States.

He's going to blame Democrats in these States for having it closed while you have red states opening up

Eh, give it about three weeks, the people that buy into this shit will start getting sick and dying.

Which is fucked.

And he doesn't care. And neither do his MAGA cult.

Are those for sure real tweets? Like they're not from a fake account or photoshopped in anyway? He can't be this fucking stupid can he? Michigan alone isn't even close to meeting the criteria of the guidelines he just unveiled?

its kinda nutty that this is such an opportunity for him to easily raise his approval rating. in a crisis, it would take such minimal effort, SO LITTLE, to have the american people rally behind him. and he can't pull it off. its hilarious.

cuomo had a slow response to this and then started actually doing something and now people talk about him like he should be president. lol. it takes no effort.

I'm not a fan of Biden at all but like...we can't keep things up like this. Something awful's going to happen. Anything different is better.

So we have states at odds with the federal government over supplies, states forming regional blocs, small uprisings concentrated in a handful of state capitols, several of which are within these new regional blocs, and now the head of the federal government calling for those uprisings to "liberate" those states. 🤔

From a very high level view it could look like the descent into civil war, or at least severe instability.

As much as I fucking hate him, and for him being a very old maniac, he (or his advisors that he has hired) really know how to use twitter as a tool to get his base rallied up.

Of course if something happens, he won't take any responsibility.

He knows what stokes the flames with his base. Doesn't matter if there's any factual basis to it. I mean, the NRA spent the entirety of the Obama Presidency pushing the idea that he was going to take away your guns even though he never even suggested that he'd do that.

They view a Democrat as de facto illegitimate. They're a cult of personality

Did Trump Say This About Confiscating Guns and Due Process?

Red flag laws allow law enforcement agencies to act on court orders and remove guns from people considered a harm to themselves or others.
