I'm expecting every known white supremacist and/or racist behind bars to be pardoned or commuted during the lame duck period.Eh. May as well happen now rather than after he lost in November. He'll be pardoning/commuting more people just as bad or worse than Stone by the time he leaves office.
I can't speak for others but Republican Congressmen have made it clear that Trump can do whatever he wants. The only recourse we have is voting in November, I plan to do so. I've also been donating to the Biden campaign, regularly and I've signed up to start phone banking for Biden. I'm fully aware of how outrageous this is but I'm also aware that we are powerless to do anything until this shit stain is removed from office.Everyone here that is going, "Not surprised...", "Expected..."
You guys are basically going, "Meh"
..and that's why Trump is able to keep doing these things. Instead of being outraged, everyone is just like "I knew it..", "I thought would have happened sooner...", "blah blah blah..."
Yeah the GOP is to blame but the media, Democrats, and Trump critics basically like "whatever.." are also the problem. Trump has relied on everyone losing their capacity for outrage and just moving on to the next thing. Remember when Trump pretended he never knew about Russian bounties against American soldiers? Remember after finally being "briefed" on it, he still did nothing?" Remember when he called it a "hoax"? Yeah I bet almost everyone already forgot about it. It was "expected", right?
He'll be pardoned at some point. 99.999%.
Possible. Especially with Miller directing all the pardons.I'm expecting every known white supremacist and/or racist behind bars to be pardoned or commuted during the lame duck period.
How do you know for certain that Trump won't be re-elected?I'm expecting every known white supremacist and/or racist behind bars to be pardoned or commuted during the lame duck period.
Marshall Cohen @MarshallCohen
If Trump steps in and prevents Roger Stone from going to prison..... he will be going against the wishes of (1) the Justice Department that argued for incarceration, (2) the judge who sentenced him to 3+ years, and (3) the appeals court that just rejected his bid to delay prison.

Maggie Haberman @maggieNYT
@MarcACaputo had a good rundown yesterday on the battle inside the White House, where there were more people trying to stop it from happening than there were folks trying to push it through

Law and order is only reserved for statues.
Charlie Kushner is next.
Technically there will be a lame duck period eventually. Whether it's this fall or in 2024.
Why wouldn't he go even crazier with pardons if he wins?If Trump loses the election, expect all kinds of pardons between November and January.
He could have done this after he was booted from office like all other presidents. Instead he decided to do it before Stone even served a day.Trump waving the white flag and just getting whatever scraps are left before he's gone
No he won't. It's time to stop pretending he'll be held accountable for the things he's done.
