I think the idea is that she was lying about liking him, that it shows she is inauthentic. This is also tied to some dumbass controversy where she said she listened to Tupac while smoking weed in college, even though he didn't have an album out yet. This was a primary thing with Very Online ppl. What I can't explain is who would possibly care.
