Triangular sandwiches taste better than rectangular ones

It seems that triangles give you more sandwich filling per bite.

A triangular sandwich has two 45° corners that allow you to bite much further towards the middle on your first two bites, where there is more filling. This is followed up by a perfect, crustless third bite as you take the space left in the middle.

Bite number four is, of course, mostly crust, but you can't have everything!

a soup and a sandwich is a pretty standard combo? it's the burger and fries of the deli world
particularly: tomato soup + grilled cheese, although that's never been my favorite.

I grew up being told leaving the heel at the end kept the rest of the bread more fresh. No idea how true that is, or if it makes any meaningful difference. (From memory the heel would go stale faster than the rest of the bread, but it's likely I'm just remembering wrong)

Surprisingly, it gets very cold here around January/February (it even snows sometimes).

That's the method I use for burgers. I mean, no crust in burgers, of course, but I eat the burger in a circular way and leave the center for the last bite.
