Footage from the TGS Trailer was also used in the Nintendo Direct today:

It was confirmed earlier that it was releasing next April. Thankfully a ways away since I got so much to play now.

I'm not quite liking the Dubs. Thankfully the game was long-confirmed to have Dual-Audio and I know I'll be "Switch"-ing :P

For real. I'm usually pretty accepting of most dubs since I do like XB2, but this just sounds bad, like no voice was delivered well or just seemed like it fit. I would have thought SquareEnix would be better than this.

I actually like the visuals. I feel they captured the art style and aesthetic of the original very nicely.

Certainly much better than the original Secret of Mana remake. Now that one had some subpar visuals

I can only image how worse Charlotte will sound with that "quality" voice acting in addition to her "baby-ish" talk.

I'm still floored that they're actually remaking this. They've done so well translating the designs into 3D.

Square's dub quality control is all over the place. While nothing in thirteen years has touched FFXII's voicework, the quality is generally somewhere between decent and strong. Every now and then, however...

Well whatevs. I'm a dubbed fan through and through but I have memories of emulating this via fan translation patch all the way back into my childhood. I can deal with rolling with the Japanese audio and thinking of it as just another example of how foreign this glorious game has always felt to me. :P

i'm thrilled it exists and sure i'll love it... but fact if i saw this out of context and i'd think it's a modern Tales game or something makes me die a little inside

That's definitely the biggest draw for me, how they've faithfully recreated the character art and designs in 3D. They look just about perfect.

Just recall how the last "Secret of Mana Remake" looked like when it came to the art.

And the music was also a letdown. Thankfully what I've heard of the OST so far in the Trials remake is more promising.

Did they tone down/drop the babytalk? Sounds a lot more bearable.

Also they need to stop hiding Hawkeye gameplay. I've seen enough Duran for a lifetime.

Man, the dubs really did miscast the voices for both Koren and Deathjester. They sound nothing at all like their JP counterparts with their deeper voices. Charllote though is definitely going to be the sore spot for the JP audio unfortunately.

Also just noticed the reimagined Secret of Mana theme from the OST in the trailer and it sounds amazing.
