Yeah, that's the one.Is that the story where it is just Harry setting up the Christmas presents and he gets the mug of chocolate like his Dad used to make? Or is there a different Christmas story?

You can't kill the polka god and the light that he wields!
I love how this reads like you're trolling but is completely accurate.Last book I remember was either the necromancer's or the vampire porn studio.
Vampire porn studio was the book before the necromancers (and the ZOMBIE T-REX), so you've got a few to catch up on.Last book I remember was either the necromancer's or the vampire porn studio.
Been a while since i serious into urban fantasy. I think the Iron Druid was the last series i was really into. But that went from Urban to straight fantasy fairly quickVampire porn studio was the book before the necromancers (and the ZOMBIE T-REX), so you've got a few to catch up on.
The last couple added a lot of lore that'll probably be important. I bet the stuff post Changes will all be important and everything prior is mostly Goosebumps fluff. It's been so long since the last one that I've forgotten so much. Given just how many books there are, I'll probably jump into the new ones without trying to catch up.
Nah, I'm thinking that at bare minimum, Death Rites, Proven Guilty, White Night, and Small Favor will be important here. The last couple added a lot of lore that'll probably be important. I bet the stuff post Changes will all be important and everything prior is mostly Goosebumps fluff.
And at some point Cowl's gonna matter again. Last time we saw him was in WN, maybe.
That's a fair list given the content alluded to in the teaser. But I think Battleground will shake it up towards pushing the larger narrative that the series seem to be heading towards.Nah, I'm thinking that at bare minimum, Death Rites, Proven Guilty, White Night, and Small Favor will be important here.

AHhhhhh fuck it's still good. God I'm looking forward to this one. They've been releasing preview chapters for the last 3 weeks btw

That was 12-14, actually.Think I fell off somewhere around the 10th - 12th book when
Harry dies and Molly turns into the Winter Court princess thing, delving into Hades' realm
I get after so many books you gotta do stuff to keep it fresh but it just seemed OTT. Still, maybe I should give the new ones a go
He gave it to him REALLY good.
That was 12-14, actually.
Harry dies in book 12, Changes, on the very last page, is a ghost through 13, and Molly doesn't become the Winter Lady until 14, Cold Days.
It needed to be said but god DAMN was it harsh.
They are! No idea about the current status thoThe book trailer really makes me want someone to do another attempt at a tv show.
He already has and plans to finish it by the end of summer. The most recent update says it is called "The Olympian Affair" and he will start writing it soon
Poodlestrike
I have a feeling Eb is gonna bite it during this or Battle Ground for sure, wonder who the backstabber will be though, I don't think it's gonna be like Murphy or Thomas, so prolly someone like Carlos also if Thomas dies we're canceling Jim. Butter can die.

I would not call it super problematic, but a lot of the earlier books had pretty sleazy levels of male gaze. Butcher got a lot better over time and we mostly focus on the original explanation and current-ish state of "Harry is kind of a pig but he means well" but I know a few people who outright bounced off the first book or three because of that.
Shiiit, I'd forgotten about that.Harry was looking at his friends teenage daughter going on about 'she got tits like her mother', fucking creepo
Finished the book, lets just say you can feel it was cut up and thank god for Battle Ground later this year, cuz yeesh.
It-s not bad, just heavily backloaded and the first 90% feels like the first 50% of a regular DF novel.
And so Battlegrounds is supposed to be the final Dresden book? 😥 I mean, I know it has to stop at some point but still...
Definitely not. The broad plan for the series is to release another 4-5 "case files" novels before wrapping everything up with an epic trilogy. Butcher has been planning on releasing the series like this - 20 or so stand alone novels leading up to a trilogy - since before the first book was published, so I'm excited to see where it all ends up...in another decade or so.
Nice! Sounds good! And by case file novels, you mean the ones that have the short stories collected from other random anthologies right? I gave up on those and the comic series a while back. Just felt like I was getting the placement and timeline confused and reading some stuff, I'd already read.
