My current fan curve setting. My GPU temp at full load generally don't exceed more than 65c. I use MSI Afterburner.

I keep the fans turning even at low. My fans are quiet and I don't really fear them wearing out too quickly. I hardly reach 60 C in most scenarios though.

Here's mine, gpu usually peaks around 60c, it's undervolted/overclocked nicely and 55% fan speed is the sweetspot when it comes to noise level I can tolerate easily (Asus Strix 1080ti @ 2025mhz).

I'm already rocking an NH-D15 and a high-tier AIB video card in an airflow case with 2 140mm & 1 120mm fan, so I rarely even need the fans to spin up that much.

Looking at these pics and realizing I should have just dropped a pretty penny for a case with better airflow, particularly to accommodate my GPU. My CPU is fine and rarely hit over 55c when gaming. Will buy a new one soon I guess...

I use a BIOS fan curve for the CPU. Basically as low as possible (silent) until 60 degrees, then start ramping up.

I used to use a fan curve on my GPU, but then I decided what's the point, it's quiet and has a good default curve. Usually idles 45c and gets up to 80c when it's pushed to its max. ASUS Strix 2070.

On an old iMac though, I have it bump up speed when the GPU at is at 55c and even higher at 60c. If I don't use a custom fan program it reaches 70c on idle. This thing was baked to make it work again so eh, I'm not surprised, I also probably didn't do that great of job putting the paste and pads back on.

sikilar to this but I think my baseline is 30% and I ramp up faster at the end to 100% around 80c

I do need to play with hysteresis though to stop the annoying ryzen spikes making the fans blip. Never done that before so any advice welcome (using MSI B550 motherboard and bios fan curves)
