This is actually a lot creepier than the Seinfeld thing.Compare to Jason Momoa, 39, who's married to Lisa Bonet, 51. Or Emmanuel Macron, 41, married to Brigitte Macron, 66.
They met during a theatre workshop that she was giving when he was a 15-year-old student and she was a 39-year-old teacher, but they only became a couple once he was 18.
Never saw this before. Holy shit, that was not just a slip of the tongue or anything (not that such a thing would be acceptable anyway).
That was full on racist Klan shit.

From Wikipedia:
didn't sound too fake. You haven't see all of It. He even apologized on live TV during Letterman i think, with Jerry in the studio.
It sounded so fake and It was really weird.
There's the video on youtube
I find it hard to be creeped out by a relationship that has endured, in the public eye no less, even if it started out in a sketchy fashion. This is actually a lot creepier than the Seinfeld thing.

Doesn't that mean nobody can be a victim of anything if they choose to stay with someone?I find it hard to be creeped out by a relationship that has endured, in the public eye no less, even if it started out in a sketchy fashion.
He also appears on Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee. Jerry asks him some good questions. He seems extremely remorseful, sad, and downright broken towards the end. Honestly, I feel like he's been through enough after all these years. I recommend watching that episode and you decide for yourselves. It doesn't excuse what he did, just thought it'd be an interesting watch over a decade later.didn't sound too fake.
problem were the morons in the audience, that thought it was a bit and couldn't stop laughing till Jerry told them to.
It means that I'm going to assume most of the time that people are okay in their relationships even if there are examples of people who are not.Doesn't that mean nobody can be a victim of anything if they choose to stay with someone?
I don't give a fuck what the age of consent is. I can find you creepy without the law being involved.
Pokémon? And it was. She was 17 when they met but had turned 18 by the time they started dating. It was still weird and creepy as hell, and widely reported as such in the press. What the fuck did they talk about?
So are have proof they didn't invent it?
I think he met his wife when she was on her honeymoon. Makes that relationship game show he created seem like a bad idea in retrospect.

It's not the audience's fault, the apology came too fast. Youtube didn't exist, the video only started to go viral, and Letterman/Seinfeld gave no specifics, so the vast majority of the audience had no clue what he was even apologizing about.didn't sound too fake.

He had a racist outburst during a stand up
It's bad, really bad.

Edit* Fixed the link
The article in the OP says they met in the park. Seems like he just saw her and started a conversation. I get what you mean though, I'm not even 30 and I don't easily find myself in places or situations where I'm meeting 17 year olds.how the fuck does a 38 year old meet a 17 year old, i just don't understand.
Lol just under the wire shuggaI never understand why people feel they have a right to pass judgement on others (when they are doing nothing wrong). Not getting at you OP.
If she was attracted to him for money and power, good on her, as long as they were both adults, I don't see how anyone has a right to judge
He is an actor not the pope
I am UK based, this is presuming 16 is the law in US
How does she feel about it now? If I were 17 and dating an attractive incredibly rich and famous 38 year old I'd be pretty stoked about it at the time.
How did she feel about it then? How does she feel about it now?
She want to and I didn't. Do I not get a say? This is all kinds of cringe. Guess you were the one 'in charge', eh?
FWIW I haven't dated a teenager since I *was one*, so even though I can't relate to your situation I still don't think your about-to-be-18 GF was incapable of deciding for herself nor would I be comfortable with such an imbalance in a relationship.
suuuuure....
SexIt's still super weird because I have no idea what they could have had in common, what would they talk about?
Umm no his wife is named Jessica.17 is legal. They are still married. Meh. I dated a 19 yr old at 31. what can ya do.
Haha. My bad. I thought he was still with the same girl.
there were jokes about it, I am pretty sure Howard Stern had a song about it. Other than that and the other jokes about his 'robbing the cradle' there wasn't anything.
grooming wasn't something people feared.
TIL that my wife and I being 20 years apart in age is creepy and or immoral, and that the stereotypes of it being a male fantasy trip but nevermind two people being in love with each other.
I'm 38, dating a high school girl right now would be so weird.
The age of consent in NY is 17, in case anyone was wondering.
So he may have been sketchy, but she wasn't underage.
