THQ Nordic teases two game announcements at E3 [READ STAFF POST]

THQ Nordic have sent an e-mail to press about their plans for E3, which includes hints at two unannounced projects that will be revealed at the conference.
I'm not sure if this e-mail only covers the projects of THQ Nordic GmbH subsidiary in Austria or if it includes Deep Silver and Coffee Stain as well.

Unannounced Game #1: It's the long-awaited return of a galactically beloved game/franchise. It is a remake.

Unannounced Game #2: It's a new vision of a beloved game/franchise.

    Sounds like Game #1 could be Destroy All Humans maybe, going off "galactically".

    Edit: What Silky said below is probably right.

    It's Destroy All Humans and Darksiders: Genesis, those were the titles coined in that thread from 8ch, the forum that openly hosts cp that THQN felt to endorse

    They can keep em both TBH, but I feel for the independent devs contracted under them stuck with that stigma

    It would be awesome if Game #1 is Saints Row remake / reimagining. Volition released their last game in 2017, so it would make sense to see announcement of a new game from them.

    THQ has lost my goodwill after the shit they pulled over on 4Chan. So, was looking foward to a couple of their games, like Elex 2, which could be announced at E3, but... Im not letting them take my money.

    I'll just repeat that the big E3 announcement I'd like them to make is a big change in management for those directly invovled in the 8chan AMA along with new internal guidelines to not double/triple/quadruple check the places they decide to wacky stunts to market themselves because the 8chan endorsement only looks worse with time.

    I hope they take interviews during E3 and I hope at least one interviewer can rake 'em over the coals over the 8ch bullshit. They should she asked about it at every opportunity until they do something more meaningful than a throwaway "we sowwy" statement.

    As I posted in the other thread, hoping for Timesplitters, but expecting Destroy All Humans and won't be that disappointed if it is.

    The wording of the second one is interesting. If it really is Darksiders, I wonder what a "new vision" means for the series.

    These games are being published by THQ Nordic.     THQ Nordic's provided no response to this fiasco except for an apology claiming they did not do enough research. As the website is unlisted by Google, they had spoken to the board owner about removing "nasty stuff", and content was viewable both before and during the campaign, this claim is beyond belief. The individuals responsible are known not to be rogue PR interns, but go up to THQ Nordic's board. THQ Nordic has not been dealt with the individuals responsible.

    Consider that by supporting these games, you are supporting a publisher that is complicit with child pornography.

    Really hoping for a new Saints Row. Something more like Saints Row 2 would be amazing.

    They did say that fans of the franchise have cool stuff coming, i just hope they meant more then just the movie.

    TimeSplitters by Free Radical (well, Dambuster) is the only thing they can put out that I'm willing to overlook their recent behaviour over, but I don't want a "new vision" for TS, and "galactically" doesn't fit since the games were about time travel not visiting different planets (yes, I do remember Planet X, but everything else is set on Earth).

    I'm also hoping this happens, if I were to guess I'd imagine a website like Waypoint will.

    That being said, it's real fucked up that we have to hope for this to happen as it should just be a given.

    Saints Row, Timesplitters, Darksiders. Any of these I'll be happy with.

    I just hope the remake isn't a Red Faction.

    I will buy their games if they attract me. Thousands of their employees arent responsible for what the management/board has done. They have too many ips in their hands to fail. I cant imagine someone buying them again and sitting on them for 2 decades.

    Yeah, guess it's looking like Destroy All Humans/Darksiders. Hope they eventually bring Timesplitters 2 back.

    Darksiders III just came out six months ago so not expecting that but looking forward to seeing what they announce at E3. If the actual games interest me or not remains to be seen. And where the hell is Biomutant??? That's what im waiting for.
