YoshiP is amazing and yea that's my reaction as well since I've loved Darksiders but I won't be supporting them moving forward due to them normalizing such places

I mean, I don't know if possibly losing several contracts is a good thing.
Probably a hack based on the more recent information, but if true, to believe their bs excuse you'd have to believe:
1.their social media team has never heard of 4chan or any negative connotations of the Chan sites.
2. Their social media team didn't bother trying to Google 8chan or visit the website beforehand
3. THQ will run an AMA on any website with prizes if you ask

I was playing with the thought of getting Darksiders 3, because THQ Nordic's stuff looked like a good AA path. But my enthusiasm for the company is pretty dampened right now to be put it mildly.

Can you prove this is not an hacked account they are using? You are jumping to conclusions. Things like that have happend in the past, too. Well see, how all of this ends up.

Multiple people at THQ are fucking up by not saying anything right now though.

I'm extremely doubtful that this will cause the amount of stir necessary for people to back out of publishing deals with THQ Nordic.
So far, this seems less like a "Hey we're holding an AMA on a website we support" and more "Hey we're holding an AMA on a weird ass website, look how weird it is!".
Granted I don't think whoever greenlit this decision was aware of what makes 8chan "weird" in the first place.
How long until companies just straight up delete their SoMe accounts, since they clearly can't keep their damn feet out of their mouths.

Honestly THQ did this to themselves by doing this in the first place. Anyone with even a hint of common sense could've seen this coming.

it's 7:30pm here in Austria. THQ Nordic folks aren't exactly asleep, and - assuming they've been hacked - damage control (i.e. denial) would be just as important as resecuring their Twitter account.
I wonder - if it is a hack - if they locked them out of the Twitter account, abut even then you'd think they'd just use their Facebook to send a message.
Because THQ Nordic is not based in NA. Its like 8 pm there and people have lives. They are not constantly on twitter checking what the official THQ account is posting.

Sounds like some fool impersonating this PR guy, or if it is the PR guy, its a big 'fuck you' to THQ as he's walking out the door.
I don't believe there is any form of official vetting on these forums / moderators to remove fake accounts.
...which is another, less important reason why doing an AMA there is not a good idea.
Higher ups in PR and Marketing are always on, in the day of corporate smartphones you don't escape that if it's your job.
