I guess it's not possible to have one of these threads without people who want to dicuss the game having to wade through posts about THQs behaviour and vice versa. Mods earlier said that both sides of the coin should be tolerated but I'm not sure that's actually possible.
I'll pass on SpongeBob, but if Timesplitters is announced? I will pre-order that shit at the speed of light.

That poster complained about people complaining about a company embracing a platform that has child pornography on it. And you're telling me to grow up. It's almost like the situations aren't equivalent.
Since Avatar isn't on TV anymore, they need to find a way to make the game fun to play on its own. So I guess they'll either remaster them all or create something new from scratch.
I'm not saying I don't want them held accountable and I'm not trying to defend them. I made the point way earlier in the thread that if we don't want it to be possible to discuss their games then such threads should be banned outright but that was apparently already discussed and it was decided that was a no go. So basically there is only one place to either discuss the games or criticise the company.
I don't understand how that has any relation with your previous "point" that those two scenarios would be equivalent.
But that aside, I agree, THQN discussions aren't possible here due to the amount of people discussing and raising awareness of their past actions.

If anything, THQN discussion should be completely banned. Sends a more definitive message, maybe we could even have a sticky on the forum explaining why they're banned that also included this brilliant post.
Might as well all Europeans on Era from discussing anything but first-party Sony and Nintendo games.
Koch Media, which is part of the THQ Nordic group, is involved with the publication and/or distribution of the games of almost all major publishers in Europe, including Capcom, Square Enix, Bethesda, and many others. Sony and Nintendo are one of the few who do everything themselves.
ATLA is an interesting property which no one seems to be able to do right. Seeing how most THQN games tend to max out at "AA" quality and to not really get *too* ambitious - something I think ATLA requires - I'm reserving judgement.
THQ Nordic hosted an AMA on 8chan, a site known for being associated with child pornography and later the massacre of 52 people in Christchurch, New Zealand by a white supremacist.
THQN signal boosted and interacted positively with a bunch of pedophiles and racists.

For whatever it's worth, this thread was quite helpful to me. Had heard good things about this game for a while and like platformers, so there was a fair chance I'd grab this on a black friday sale or something down the line, because I somehow missed all the THQ stuff up till now. Now, if I ever end up touching it, it'll be used.

As opposed to talking about the game announcement, you try to spin this as an attack on developers, ignoring that actual developers under THQ Nordic have commented in a very different way on the matter.
Following that, let's look at every single post you've replied to in this thread.
If someone posted this GIF in reaction to a post criticising THQ, they'd rightly be pulled up on it. Grow up.

Before you tried to paint yourself as the victim at claim that you're unable to talk about THQ games, you never tried to talk with anyone about THQ's games. Instead you engaged on the subject of the 8chan AMA controversy of your own accord, and then replied to numerous people on that very subject and that subject alone.
To make things perfectly clear, you had no obligation to reply to any of these posts. You replied to only these because you chose to reply to only these.
Now, let's look at the people who were talking about the Spongebob game. To keep this list short, let's limit it just to the people who posted before your first post in the thread. I'll ignore the people saying they'll buy it used because that might be about the 8chan issue.
You could have engaged with any one of these posts, yet you chose not to. Why? There's even a moderator in this list. As above, you had no obligation not to reply to any of these posts.
Since you demonstrated no desire to talk about this game despite having ample opportunity to do so, I'm forced to conclude that you don't actually want to. Instead, you're reacting solely to the existence of posts regarding THQ Nordic's 8chan AMA, which you don't want to see for whatever reason.
Why don't you want to see them? Maybe you want to silence that conversation for some reason. Maybe you feel the sting of conscience when you see those posts and would rather remove them than address your own inadequacies. I don't really know. You're privy to that rather than me. But regardless of what your motivations are, this is how it's bled into your actions.

Huh, of all the games to get a remaster, this was hardly the game I expected! I'm actually genuinely curious to see the level of visual polish they give this game, because some of the original character models? They look pretty rough now! Kind of like the simpsons games that came out on PS2/Xbox/Gamecube back in the day. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out at the very least!

Yup, emulates the show pretty well and the platforming and gameplay is surprisingly good. Easily one of the better licensed games of it's time.
I aint got much to add to the conversation in terms of Spongebob but I'll say its a damn shame everything went down with THQ the way it did especially when they alone have the rights to some of my favorite games of previous generations like Time Splitters. I can't though in good faith support a company that was so incredibly dismissive of the choices they made.
Nobody in here should demonize anyone here who is excited for this game but if you are planning to buy I'd implore you to at least give thought to what kind of company your supporting by doing so.

THQ Nordic fucked up awhile ago, big time.
They never fired the person responsible.
Now, when a thread involving a THQ Nordic game is created, people usually write "Fuck THQ" or bring this up.
Other people get annoyed at the above, this is followed by quoting/discussing/arguing/etc.
And that's pretty much what's happened here.
It's super random that this is suddenly getting a remake now. Like, it's not unwarranted, since this is actually low-key a really good 3D platformer, but licensed games tend not to ever get re-released.
It has a big speed running community treats renewed interest in it the past few years.
It's not so much the timing that makes it surprising (though this sort of game is not exactly common in 2019), but the fact that it's happening at all. Most licensed games usually just sort of disappear into the abyss, never to return, once they go out of print.
For me it is not so much dismissing their concerns that. When i go into a thread about something the first comment is Fuck THQ which has no relation or meaning to the OP. Like how does that contribute to the discussion even a first post of I would love this but i will not for ( insert reason) is more constructive it at least acknowledges the OP and is relevant to the topic at hand.

But there were enough people at THQNordic willing to let their company hold an AMA on 8Chan. The site made up of people banned from child porn-lloving 4Chan for going to far. The site Google has blacklisted because there's entire forums dedicated towards teaching new child predators how to avoid getting caught & to inflict more suffering on the kid. The site where THQNordic staff responded that they have "big-tittied lolis."
