Here's a question I want people to think about carefully from this image as well, "How do you know that those images and videos of you are floating around the internet?" There was an incident in 2014, where some online troll decided to email those videos to me, I became well aware that the stuff was floating around online. 8chan is known to host links to child porn. Add the two together, alongside what I wrote in this image.
Do you what I fear the most? Reliving those two months of hell. It's one thing I have to accept in my life that I was raped as a child, but finding out that recordings of that hell are floating around the internet is another ball game, and to be reminded of that is equally hell.

I'd like to thank you for your honest post. Until now I was fairly indifferent about the 8chan incident (mainly because I was being selfish and was only thinking about how the situation would affect me, a lefty, white, questioning male who has never had to go through such an ordeal) but reading a first hand account of how it hurts survivors has hammered home the ignorance and lack of accountability THQ displays.
I hope everything is starting to look up for you and please know that you've reached at least 1 person with your efforts. I won't be buying a THQ product again.

Yeah I mean I like, say, Deep Silver's stuff and am frustrated that there are people who are still having to work under these assfucks, but, like, this forum separated from GAF specifically because of those revelations; it's hard to nail on association when the active steps to deal with the situation involved a big and public dissociation from the group
The basis of people's criticism is that no action was taken after they did something, including interactions that showed the people involved were aware of what they were doing. The response effectively lied about that awareness of the issue before, during, and after the event. The community they did the co-promotion with was created in part specifically to facilitate things like distributing child pornography and organizing harassment campaigns. None of that is in question. This is reflected in Google's default blacklists; the entity is recognized as a "bad player."
This is criticism because of THQN's direct actions and the choice to deliberately avoid accountability. Your side comparison is so weak it's almost incomprehensible.

There was also a Reddit post of someone who claimed to be an extra on the Amanda Show was allegedly paid to have her feet tickled or something by Dan. But I don't think there was ever any solid evidence if that person was really an extra on the Amanda Show.
I understand the basis of people's criticisms. Which is why I said those involved need to be fired. But I also u dersrand what others are saying in this forum about this idea of fuck everyone at THQ. Guilt by association is kind of rough. Especially since said employees may not be in a position to up and leave since it involves their livelihood.

What's the point to talk again and again of the same problem. Someone other than you will think this will give visibility to the controversy, but at the same time they are the same who are waiting someone else to solve it for them. For me this is laziness. Talking of problems has never solved any of them.

Nobody here has the ability to force THQ to resolve this issue. That doesn't mean people should have to stop talking about it. There are any number of issues on this forum that lead to regurgitate, circular arguments this plenty of people don't have a problem with. Let's stop talking about the Epic game store exclusivity issues since none of us can change it. Let's stop talking about crossplay since none of us can change it. Let's stop talking about consumer rights issues around digital media since none of us can change it? Why is the line for so many drawn here? Some of you will blow a gasket over a fucking game going exclusive to a platform you don't use, leading to endless discussion, but god forbid people want to hold a video game company accountable for giving a platform to a bunch of bigots and pedophiles. I respect people's decision to refrain from supporting games distributed to THQ and people's decision to continue to support THQ. It doesn't make you a good person to stop or a bad person to continue. It makes you a consumer. I'll continue to support games distributed by THQ despite their insanely stupid decision. I have a different opinion than the "fuck THQ" crowd but I won't dismiss the concerns of them. Let them express their views and perhaps ignore the accounts if they bother you. That is not an endorsement of evil, it's just a decision to maintain comfort on this website. People will be hostile on both sides of the argument but that's natural.

I think I'm going to bow out of reading any THQN thread here. They just devolve to shit instantly and trying to sift through the waves of "fuck THQN" to get actual information about the topic of the thread is just not worth the effort. Loved this as a kid. Still not happy with THQ though, the hole controversy involving them shouldve been impossible if the higher management that my money is realistically mostly supporting did their jobs
