I finally gave it a shot and yeah it also makes me a woman. It's a super similar face for my sisters and Mother though, so it feels more like there's a base level "mask" applied. Anime filter felt a fair bit more varied, more of a filter on face present. We may have super similar faces, but anime did make us all look different, lol.
