This has probably been one of my favs for years. Too bad the in game art doesnt even try to match it.
I like the Hyrule Warriors cover a lot but if I'm keeping it 100, the logo is mediocre and the bottom of the box feels like wasted space, the characters also have a somewhat "Photoshopped floating heads movie poster" vibe as opposed to a thoughtful composition.
Would be nice if people could put their big ass images in a quote box.

I remember being so jealous that Japan got all the cool box art for the Final Fantasy's. This is the best box art. I would frame if I could get a good print.

I'd agree OP if Link wasn't just....a little off to me. His stance, theres something wrong with it.
I don't know if protag standing in the middle looking heroic can ever be "best" because it's so generic. That's like 90% of game covers

The artwork is beautiful but argh that title logo is painful.
There's always a lack of Dragon Quest art in these thread. I'll put V up but Toriyama rarely misses:
I really like this Final Fantasy 2 artwork. Logos a bit of a fucking mess in the typography but man i just love the art and colours
Definitely my favorite of the series, though the regular Snake Eater doesn't get as much love as the Subsistence version for some reason

This is incredibly iconic, eye catching, and a perfect encapsulation of the tone of the game. All a good boxart should strive for.
