Huh, I'm a guy and I've always done in clockwise. Never really thought about it until now. I did know about the buttons though.Women's belts are worn clockwise whereas men's belts are worn counterclockwise.
.
That said, holy shit, is it common to buy 400$+ coats ? That sounds like a lot but I don't know anything about the US cost of living
I believe the reasoning for it was that traditionally women (at least women wealthy enough to have fancy clothing) were dressed by servants. And it's remained as a legacy.
Not plunging, like this but a little more:Guys have plunging neckline shirts now. They look like douches but that's fashion I guess.
My belts tend to have the brand engraved on the buckle so I can't wear them in the "wrong" direction lolHuh, I'm a guy and I've always done in clockwise. Never really thought about it until now. I did know about the buttons though.
I guess I've been doing it right. lolWomen's belts are worn clockwise whereas men's belts are worn counterclockwise.
I found out this isn't always true thoPeople will know it's a woman's jacket because the buttons are on the left side.
Do you have an example?
Women's belts are worn clockwise whereas men's belts are worn counterclockwise.
Actually European brands (h&m or zara) can have buttons on either side in my experience. I think the bigger issue would be if OP has broad shoulders or is really tall.People will know it's a woman's jacket because the buttons are on the left side.
Yes, unless there's writing or a logo on the buckle that would be upside down if you flip itWhat
You can just spin it around and wear them any way you want, can't you?
It's so funny how Era can get so insecure at times. "Oooh he's wearing *girl* clothes!"
Literally everyone in the thread has said to buy it if the OP likes it.
lol bro you shot him down with "Are you a woman?" before you even considered what his build is like. Get real.
Bro, there are differences in the way men and women's clothes are cut. Knowing the OPs sex is an important detail, one that they did not include.
Seriously, wtf are you going on about? lolI mean you could infer from context clues as well as his profile that he's male, but sure, let's give you the benefit of the doubt assume that you missed all that and decided to ask whether the OP is a woman because you cared about sizing and fit (but decided not to discuss it) and not really to give him shit.
obviously he can't. :Plol can you even read? Whatever, we're going off topic. I'm out.
lol That's probably for the best. What he asked was a totally logical question.lol can you even read? Whatever, we're going off topic. I'm out.

Girls generally do. I would notice what the OP linked as women's jacket immediately.
The patriarchy.Off topic, but why are our buttons on the left? We are mostly right handed just like men. /grumble
It goes back to the old days where men typically dressed themselves and women had someone dress them - thus for the latter, the buttons would be on the right hand side for the person dressing them.Off topic, but why are our buttons on the left? We are mostly right handed just like men. /grumble

Because men's clothing are meant to be buttoned up by another person aka the wife/significant other. Basically 👇🏽Off topic, but why are our buttons on the left? We are mostly right handed just like men. /grumble

I will try before buying but I am 5 7.How tall are you, OP? The cost you linked goes in at the waist then flairs out. It might be an awkward proportion on you, especially if you're taller than the average woman.
