Bruh, they're just gonna bring out 2K21 and label it 2K22For the best - it's time to rebuild that engine and control scheme, from the ground up.
I've always wanted them to do more interesting things with the WWE personalities and characters than just a straight up wrestling sim like game. There were rumors around 2012 of a side scrolling beat-em up type game that was apparently at least pitched at some point.
I'd love to see the characters of the WWE embellished and taken in crazy directions that aren't just the same old boring simulator game.
I think 2K and WWE deal is officially over.
We heard rumors that 2K wanted to drop the WWE license. (Insert 2K20 Drama here)
If WWE games come back, it won't be 2K. Enter EA?
I first heard it back when 2K20 came out.
Yes. WWE is immensely profitable currently due to lucrative tv deals with fox and arrangements for events in Saudi Arabia
WWE is becoming less and less relevant.I first heard it back when 2K20 came out.
Someone even posted a chart showing how every 2K game performs less than the other. After 2K got rid of Yukes, they knew what they wanted to do with the WWE contract.
Why those two when Virtual Pro Wrestlnig 2 exists? It's really simple. You take these games and add definition/online play.
Yeah, VPW2 is easily AKI's best game. Why those two when Virtual Pro Wrestlnig 2 exists?
Some of the mechanics were actually stripped when they converted to No Mercy; No Mercy just has more match types, I think.
My favourite WWE games were the Smackdown games, but I don't know if WWE will ever want to go to that style again because they want to be more simulation based it seems.I agree; however, I think the video games could be even more successful than the shows. The quality of the games dropped simultaneously with the shows.

Mix it with WrestleMania XIX style matches too like throwing people off ledges to their death or throwing them in front of a moving car to kill them.
never played this, is that Vader? What other western known wrestlers made it to the game? Why those two when Virtual Pro Wrestlnig 2 exists?

The definition of "Western known" can vary, but off the top of my head the following have wrestled for WWE/WCW/ECW:never played this, is that Vader? What other western known wrestlers made it to the game?
It was officially licensed by AJPW so I guess it was whoever was with them at the time. Wrestle Kingdom II was awesome though because it had the NJPW, AJPW AND NOAH licenses. The definition of "Western known" can vary, but off the top of my head the following have wrestled for WWE/WCW/ECW:
