Really getting annoyed at the trend of canceling the current tour and re-scheduling while asking for more money. I barely wanted to pay what I paid for this tour, I'm not paying more to have a shittier sounding concert (and likely further away).
Damn I wanted to go watch him at the Barclays or msg.. but no way I'm doing MetLife stadium again.. getting there it's a headache.

People always asks me - like even before the pandemic - whether I've ever seen him live. But as obsessed as I am with this man's music, I have never been to his concert.

Why is MetLife stadium so bad?
I mean it's the first time he's done THAT, I meant trend because other artists have done the same recently. I had Ricky Gervais tickets and he did the same thing. Cancelled all tickets and moved to a bigger venue, ticket prices were increased.
The Weeknd situation is just annoying as shit because he's already postponed the tour a few times. I've seen him a bunch of times in concert, so it's no big deal, but I've just personally reached a point where ticket prices actually sway me from seeing big artists, whereas when I was younger I'd pretty much pay whatever. If you haven't seen him live though, I'd definitely go.
Traffic, the venue is fine. He must have his reasons if he opted for stadiums I suppose 😅 but hey! New music Thursday!

Right, I've never really been to a concert so I didn't know that this was an ongoing trend. It could just be the after effects of the coronavirus, you know? Even though this year is better than last year in terms of safety, we're still in a pandemic.

Yeah...I'm pretty pissed about this. I had front-row tickets at an incredible spot on the stage for the original tour.
As far as I know, there are no seating charts for the stadium tour yet, but there's almost no way that there will be seats that will have a comparable experience to the arena tickets I bought. And if by chance there are, I am expecting the cost to be much more.

I'll be honest, the only Rosalia I ever heard was this and the Blinding Lights remix. But the production on this was something else!
This is the second or third time this year he's released a new music video for an old song. The first one was Try Me, then Can't Feel My Face which already had a music video, now this which always seemed like one of the most popular tracks from this album. I am guessing this was a tribute to Starboy's 5 year anniversary. Regarding the merch drop, I kinda wanted the cross t shirt:well that's odd but i am not complaining ^^

it could just be a release date/surprise single or even a tracklist. the last time he did a full shadow drop, the project didn't blow up that much (MDM). then again, that was an EP.
I'm in need of some new Weeknd music. Hope there's an album tomorrow but anything new is always enjoyed.

Nice. After Hours was incredible. Sounds like this is keeping that 80s/synthwave influence going and I'm here for it.
I'd never have sought out The Weeknd's music naturally, because he mostly seemed to work in a genre I don't have much affinity for, but I started listening to his Apple Music radio show during COVID and I started to really appreciate his musical literacy.
As a result, I'm not surprised to see Oneohtrix Point Never on that list of collaborators.
