This is part of the long running Avengers 1,000,000 BC storyline. The original Avengers were Odin, The Phoenix, Aggamotto, Iron Fist, Starbrand, Black Panther and Ghost Rider.

This seems to retcon this.

The original Earthling Starbrand is now a T-Rex.

Right but it's all the same writer and all the same storyline. About every 4 months he has an issue that expands on the backstory and origin of all of these ancient heroes-the Iron Fist one and Ghost Rider one were great.

One of the silly in a bad way things Aaron has done.

If you're wondering whether there were black panthers back then, there probably were. The Pantherinae line came about some 10-12 million years ago.

I've really enjoyed the 1,000,000 BC avengers stuff Aaron's done. The Ghost Rider on a whooly mammoth was inspired. I'd be glad if he ends up retcconning the neanderthal hulk he first showed.

you make this thread and leave out the fact that the first Ghost Rider on Earth was a mammoth rider?

What's more interesting to me is the implication in that picture that Kree culture has been utterly stagnant for 65 million years
