This seems to retcon this.This is part of the long running Avengers 1,000,000 BC storyline. The original Avengers were Odin, The Phoenix, Aggamotto, Iron Fist, Starbrand, Black Panther and Ghost Rider.
The original Earthling Starbrand is now a T-Rex.
Right but it's all the same writer and all the same storyline. About every 4 months he has an issue that expands on the backstory and origin of all of these ancient heroes-the Iron Fist one and Ghost Rider one were great.

I've really enjoyed the 1,000,000 BC avengers stuff Aaron's done. The Ghost Rider on a whooly mammoth was inspired. I'd be glad if he ends up retcconning the neanderthal hulk he first showed.

They're not technically Avengers it's the editorial name but yeah in like dinosaur times a bunch of superhumans (And Odin) that have a legacy today teamed up
