Awesome. Now let's see if they get the Gold at the Olympics next year. No one has managed to do that yet.

I am still surprised there is no big deal to this accomplishment.

Honestly, it's because they are women. My dad said he'd watch the women's national team if they played in bikinis. What do you even say to that level of sexism?
Just saying, the US Women's final win over Japan in 2015 is still the highest rated soccer event in US history across all competitions.

But seriously, if my dad said that, I would ask him when was the last time he ever competed at the highest level possible on the international stage. He'd probably be mad at me for calling him out but 🤷♂️
This whole thing has been disingenuous from the start.
I don't think the women really want to go to the same pay structure as the men. I don't think they would even want to give up being salaried employees of US soccer because club pay is not great.
Wonder if this game will have eclipsed it. Granted, the game started at 8am on the west coast so it's hard to have high ratings at that time
No love is a ridiculous statement. We have the most womens football fans out of any country in the world.
Highly doubt it given your reason alone. Wouldn't be surprised if it's broken some sort of streaming record though.
