This aged well, didn't it?
How in the world does the movie setting out to please fans give one shades of BvS?
Y'all. Most of these tweets are absolutely awful. Both the positive and negative ones.
I was genuinely shocked he enjoyed Endgame as much as he didYeah, Ehrlich was never going to like this, especially if ignoring The Last Jedi is a big thing in it.
Never? Pretty sure Star Wars is an established part of pop culture regardless of what Disney does going froward. There's a reason the series is referenced and parodied even after all this time.
Besides the spin offs seem to be doing alright.
It's easy to glow over best in class SFX and cool space shit.Like all JJ Abrams movies, this is absolutely going to be a film where many people leave the theater with a big grin and only a couple hours later start to go "Wait......what?!"
Whatever. Crying for an entire half of a movie is over the top.
It was indeed but the MCU spent 10 years of competently made films to set up that fanservice. This however has seems to have had one fanservice filled film with mystery boxes so you don't question whats happening too much, one thematically challenging film and then seemingly all the fanservice.I'm a massive MCU fan, I love Endgame, but literally what. That's exactly what Endgame was.
So if I'm understanding correctly, past screening was full of instagramers and twitter personalities and this one was for the actual critics?
Because wow, it's night and day
How? Fans hated that movie.the sentiment that this movie isn't for the critics it's for the fans has BvS written all over it
Nolol these early impressions are crazy.
I can't recall...were TFA and TLJ early impressions this mixed?
It's hard to tell who is who with the equally pandering grasps at attention. It's great!!! Vs. Have you people heard of a little show... Game of thrones??So if I'm understanding correctly, past screening was full of instagramers and twitter personalities and this one was for the actual critics?
Because wow, it's night and day
I love Endgame but are you actually insane. It was 3 hours of blatant pandering and trying to earn brownie points with the fanbase.

Because wow, it's night and day
Wouldn't that be something but I doubt it.
Social media impressions were a mistake. Film discourse has now become a contest between serving the hottest take or the most hyperbolic praise.
But at the end of the day, 9 out of 10 people are gonna eat those motherfuckers. JJ puts butts in seats.I fucking despise Into Darkness.
sometimes JJ's filmmaking feels like a chef finding the most creative ways to plate chicken McNuggets.
